This is something i am just having a hard time understanding. I have read so many times in my time here with DH that if you have a picture, they will respond. I have written to many women and not even one return message of no thanks or hi or nice to meet you. Just wondering, whats up, why the silent treatment?

Really read the profiles of the women you are contacting.. do you have ANYTHING in common? Are you watching the age, or other expectations they have? Personally I respond to everyone.. even if it is to say, Thanks but no thanks.. too young/old. Too far.. whatever.
Keep throwing your line out there.. sooner or later you'll get a bite.

@ historybuff, you make an excellent comment and I'm sure many guys can relate...
i've seen comments like no pic no chat, must have a pic first, i only reply to profiles with pictures etc... yet many men don't get emails. it's one of the biggest contradictions some women make in their profiles.
some of their profiles should read, (and some do) if i'm interested, i will respond.

I feel badly that women in general don't tend to respond at all, not even to say 'not interested'. I have asked the guys that I respond to how many women respond to them if at all. Most never hear back or if they do, its only two or three and I am one of them that responds. I have a hard time not responding, even if the guy was crude or really creepy in what he wrote. I just dont want to be rude. But then again, if all the women who are not responding get as much mail as I average...count in a busy life with other things on the agenda besides reading email...and I think us gals can get overwhelmed pretty quick and just get burn out and not bother to ever try responding, or if we have, just give up responding to most of them. I know that doesnt sound fair.
Then add in how many other sites people are on...and I can have anywheres from 5 on a slow day to 12 a day write to me. And if I dont get on for a few days. I could have over 30 to respond to. I tried Craigs list once and was written to by close to 175 guys in 4 days time from just that ad which is now closed so dont bother going looking. I answered every single one at least once. It was an overwhelming job that took me 10 days of all my evening hours to respond.
