If you're in a fresh new relationship, what warning signs should you look for that could indicate someone just isn't as in to it as you are? Also, how do you know how to act? I know that if I really like someone I want to make all sorts of effort to spend time with them and speak with them and really put myself out there, but I don't want to come off as desperate or psycho.

If they really are interested they will do what they can to talk to u and see u. When I meet someone and they are really what I am looking for, I go for the gold, can sometimes get u hurt, but life is to short have fun. It could go either way, but dont let someone ever say u didnt try.

This question cannot be answered. By asking the question, you are the type of person that dates "defensively". While there is nothing wrong with being protective of your heart and feelings, you should have a certain amount of faith that you can have a good relationship with someone. Second-guessing another person's intentions would not be a good thing for you to do. You will know in your heart if a person is going to be good for you to be around.

All depends on the person. Every situation is different. The biggest warning sign for me doesn't come from the other person at all. It comes from me 'faking it'. I'm hoping I've been out of the dating scene long enough, and done enough soul searching and practicing speaking up, that I won't do this to myself again.
But I've done it a few times. Gone along to get along. In the end there's no getting along anyway so I hope I've learned my lesson in this regard. I'm well aware of when I' doing it. And it didn't come from wanting to hurt anyone. If anything it was to spare people's feelings.
That and a notion that this is what "learning how to play my cards right" was all about -- a thing I kept being advised by well-meaning female friends to do in order to 'keep a good' one...in their humble opinions. I'm now restricting my card playing to online Spades against the bots. And leavingthe humans and love relationships out of it. Sounds too much like moose hunting or something.
