Of course, if she declines the specific proposal, but makes a counter for a different date or venue, that's not a no.

When it comes to online dating...... When I first started with online dating, I did the whole 9 yards...... Never again!!......
Short, sweet, simple........ Is the way to go......
What I found out is.... Is that chatting online through emails, vs meeting in person are two different things all together.
Call me crazy but... I have planned great dinners, fun things after dinner, before dinner, only to find out within the first 30 minutes that I'm not into this woman at all.... And waisted money and time on a person that I'm not into... Or she wasn't into to me!! Hey it happens!
However I have planned short, sweet, simple dates with the woman knowing if things go all good we can always go and do something else after the date.

Little to no effort. I prefer them to see me exactly as I'm gonna be on a daily basis, right from the get go. Yes, it is nice to dress up, but it might just be a TAD bit misleading if you're a person that likes wearing track pants and athletic shorts on a daily basis.

I used to dress up more, now do jeans, heels, makeup/hair w/jewelery. I know in the first five minutes if there is chemistry. I am surprised by how many guys show up looking like they slept in their clothing or decided to do some drinking prior to meeting 
My routine is to meet within one week so hours are not spent communicating with someone you may feel NOTHING for upon meeting.
