Please give it to me straight!!!!!! I just came back to IL after 15 years to help out a sick member of my family. i am 36 i ride a harley i have ridden one since i was 18 I have been married now divorced.I have long hair and a beard and i look older because of this and 300,000 miles of wind dirt dust sun its not real kind to the skin. In California i know many couples happy never had there husband beat them they are kind to each other do dam near everything together by choice love each other and in a minute will tell you its not your buisness or your life. the women in these relationships came from homes where there was cheating ,beating, there first 7 years on average they lived in a war zone.also there parents were inthere teens when they were born. IN california its nothing to see a 50 year old guy married or dating a 25 year old girl. My self my girl friend was 20 i am 36 and look 46 there are thousands of happy married and just living together couples! They tried the traditional same age to 4 years older. they were beat up cheated on more then once. then the started dating old then older untill the found the guy that didnt beat them didnt cheat on them never forbid them to go wiith them if he was going out on saturday night and there is a study of 2000 women with men 15 plus years older then them.and the 2 biggest pluses they pointed out the women didnt want to cheat and didn't care that the guys were older and the wasboard stomach was gone. They were happy because the men treated them with respect,didnt dissapear for week ends or longer without all ready having it planned, the men allready went through the sample as many as possible stage. and there lifes were not full of drama they also said i am not living with a piece of paper. but a heart soul and a man that just doest say i love you but shows it more often then the guy 5 years older then them. and they did more together and discussed problems and then comprimised. Unfortunatly my mother is very il and i am not putting her in a nursing home i only have one set of parents and i lost my dad allready. And her mother has cancer her dad could care less about either one the last time she saw him was when he left and she hunted him down and he said you probably arent my kid anyway but refused a dna test and did not contest child support.we discussed dating others an since neither can be sure how long we will be apart we decided to date but first tell one another and no sex we will have the courtsy to break up first. i have been here 1 year now and the women are confusing i dated one woman 26 for a month we got along well never had sex lucily she had a 6 month rule. That ended because 1 sunday her brother decided i was going to be sleeping with his sister and jumped on me as we were leaving a resturant. and i had to lets say imobilize him. Then the next sunday we went out to eat 40 miles away came out of that resturant and had to do it again but her father too!! Why didn't they discuss this was bothering them with her or call me i didnt spend 8 years in the marines and not learn how to kill. my question is why are the people so uptight about a piece of paper and wht dont u communicate with your children,! and to the women of any age you are going to get old and don't ask why if you are alone, and the 25 to 30 year old women i still have friends out here i just want to know how many black eyes and STDs to you have to get before you realize he only knows the words i am sorry. any comments OH i have a 16 year old Girl i forgot to mention and she has a 4.0 GPA and says she will wait to date untill we go back to california Its a piece of paper with dates on it!!!!

my husband was 22 yrs older then me.
i married him for him,respect yes,did things for me no,sorry but age does
make a difference,he has passed and now at the age of 51 i am alone,not fun,not saying
i wasted those yrs but wish i would have taken the advice that my family was giving me before i married him.whos to say where i would be now if i would have taken that advice.
i will never date or marry another man that is older then i am.

sorry just wanted to put my two cents worth in....I think age does have alot to do with a relationship....the bigger the age gap...the less you have in common. sry...just my point of view.

OK, I have 2 cents too. My girlfriend died 2 years ago. We were the same age. I miss her terribly. She didn't die because she was "old", she had cancer. I cherish every moment that we spent together. Age is just a number. You can die at any time. Live your life any way you want. Just don't waste it. JMO

sry mike.....what kinda cancer did she have? cuz mine died in Aug and he was 42...and he was too young to die but when cancer hits theres no stopping it..our marriage was rocky anyways....but i was with him thru his worst part tho without leaving, and plus we had 3 kids too thats y i was there with em....thru thick and thin...i wouldnt date a man older then 5 yrs older then me....nope just my opinion tho

Cat, I understand that, and I respect it. To me, if I find someone that I can love, I don't care HOW old or young she is, I will hold and cherish her for the rest of my life!!! JMO
