All I hear on these forums is "are there any decent men" "are there any decent women" "do you like oral" "do you like anal"......can't anyone come up with something DIFFERENT?

My ex's lawyer is part of the problem -- delay, no response, never any suggestions to get things over with, would disagree if I said the sky was blue.

I think everyone wants to be the best in the questions but they are getting really old, on who likes and who does and why did's and you want a bj.
You know why lawyers delay, hard to get to answer questions, never around when you need them ?
Well its money but most of all its delaying you so you will get tired of the bull shit and to get you to agree cause your tired of all the waiting, it's actually a "see who can hold out the longest game".
If you want it over then come up with what you want and lay it on the line to them in writing. You can always take your written concerns to the judges office and ask the secretary to sumit it to the judge, some listen and some just put it on the back burner if there are children involved.

Every one seems to have problems with lawyers, why ?
You have to remember one thing you hired them to do a job for you and you can fire them
you can ask for the money back it the job wasn't completed, you might not get all but you are entitled to some back

It seems like everyone thinks that lawyers are miracle workers. Truth be told, sometimes they can make money out of nothing, but they are far from making miracles happen. A lot of times their hands are tied. Either by rules and regulations, or by courts' procedures, or by how the opposing party is willing to communicate. Sometimes there is literally nothing they could do...They can't change how judicial system works to help a particular client.

Sorry had a great lawyer who did not rip me off. Charged me one price and did not charge me anymore even though it became more complicated.

Left the lawyers out of it and decided to just share the responsibility with the ex and sort it through on our own. We made a bad marriage work for 16 years so why not make a good divorce work?

That was my first approach . . . settle it civil between us. Why not? Then I was served. I didn't bare my teeth until I was crossed. But I agree with you, if you can put it together in a civil manner, then by all means dismantle it in a civil way.  A toast to the both of you.
