ldy...
simply that if you know, from experience, that getting into someone's space might or will ignite a situation, for whatever reason, I think for yourself and others it is best not to enter...that is all....in my case I know it will, so out of respect to the author, myself, and others I do not enter threads authored by certin people...that is all...it in no way lessens a great experience on here...
sorry if I confused the issuse....

morles you are one of the seasoned members lol..a nice way of saying it. You have always made me feel welcome. I a not into choosing where to post something by the person that posts it.. but I know of a few negative people that seem to like to start things and I will say at times I don't like what they are doing or where they are heading and I will not post to them..So maybe in away I choose sometimes by the person. but it is for a good reason.. I like to have fun not be negative lol.

I agree with posting on threads that interest me. I have gone in threads and read a few posts and if I think I'm not interested or just don't care I move on to another thread. I nothing special that interests me in any threads for the day, I go to pogo and play games!!!

There are a few people on here who chose th join a little circle of friends who ridicule people they don't like.
These new people coming in deciding to join there little clique start off mimicking what they hear from the one's they want to impress. They start out offending people they don't even know just so they will be accepted by the one's the are sucking up to.
When they realize what they are doing and some are punished by the administration when they go too far, they just stop or back off.
What I find wrong about these peoples personality is that they will appologize to the site but they won't make a heart felt appology to the one's they have offended.
When I post something that they don't agree with in one of their threads I get blocked from posting in that thread anymore. That is controlling the opinions of the posters and is wrong in my opinion.
That is what Defensive was talking about with the inner circle. They are inner circle jerks that have been shown by the site administration who owns and controls this site. Right now they are laying low and everything is pretty peaceful.
That's the way it should be. If you don't like someone you should at least be polite and not make offensive remarks just to impress your suiters.
Happy Trails

Well put Pyl.
I just chose not to flatter them by calling them the "inner circle."

There's an ebb and flow to this here thang.
October
When I joined DH, I just started posting my opinions and thoughts
to the original question or comment, Title of Thread... ignored,
never welcomed, yet I enjoyed the humor tremendously. Was a
little stiff about participating and somewhat long winded as you
can see.
November?
50+ Group established and some very interesting and fun topics
were discussed. Started to feel more comfortable revealing more
about myself.
December
Started to feel safe regarding flirting and bantering with people
I was getting to know through their posts. Stayed in those threads
because they were FUN!
January
All hell broke loose!
Bickering, name calling, personal issues discussed in the threads.
Ugly. Stayed away for the most part... group had changed. Would
only post by author... those people who seemed to have some integrity
and willing to have fun.
February...MIA
Month in Florida... occasionally lurked in threads by authors I knew.
March
Lots of new and fun people here. Some older members too, who
have changed their nickname and their attitude regarding what
this site is about. Good to see "the times they are a changing"
Now I'm looking at the topics again!
Defensive... you're right it is good.
I'm thankful for the new blood and the attitude adjustments of
the old.

I post where I want, when I want, and what I want, pertaining to the subject. I don't let the thread starter nor anyone else dictate where and what I can say......

Law, you said it great. No one thing, usually the topic sometimes the comments from others, but definitely my thoughts, not changed or influenced by others. Unless they make a great post and I agree with it. I might just say

posting on here can be much fun and once i was only posting in the joke forum when a few members said check out the new 50's group...for awhile i continued to get laughs then all of a sudden like over night there was a ban of people that didn't appreciate my sense of humor, it seemed (small group that is left) ...so all of a sudden I stopped for a few days, then i started to receive supporting emails and until this day i remain here because these supporting emails out-numbered the negative attacks i was getting on the threads----
i see plygram made a post here and i would agree with what he says too...anyhow i've learned if i make someone laugh today, another tomorrow and so on, then people will read what i contribute here, besides humor...if not who cares/ they miss out as i don't block one single person from posting here on my treads and i think plygram does not either...i know one thing there are many neutral readers of the threads/posts here and those are the people that email me to not quit this site...but i do believe people do post to the silliest treads to keep them agoing...and many post to great threads too...i like my odds being the latter type of author to such treads...nice thread otherwise here--

I am drawn by the topic...if it interests me, it is a simple click of the mouse, and I not only see who the author is..I also get more info on the Topic. It is at that point, I decide to post or look for another thread. There is only one individual on this site..that posts here in this group...that I will go to great lengths not to post to any of his threads....because I will not give him the opportunity...to set his traps to bully, control, make innuendos and basically lie and slant facts...before you all wonder if I am talking about you...if you have NOT met me in real life...no it is not you
If I have posted to a thread..it is what I wanted to say..it is how I look at it..it is what I believe..it is who I am. Do what is expected of me? Hell no!!
