I don't know that it's so much and "inner circle." We all have friends on here that we prefer to associate with and others that we avoid. (just as in real life) Even the ones that I avoid, I will be civil to in a thread. (unless attacked)
I post in the threads that I have an interest in.

as someone who posts by authors...maybe I can explain why....and really it isn't even important.....situations come up from time to time, here as well as anywhere else....that creates a problem between people.....you can handle it one way or another....for me I find the easiest way to not enter their space (which is actually what I would do were they physically in the same room as me)...this dis-allows for any other problems that might arise.....thus out of respect for the person/persons I avoid as well as for others on here...is why I do it.

It's the topic and what's already been expressed that attracts me - I don't notice who the poster is for the most part.
I tend to not post in the 'fun' posts, not sure why, cuz I'm a fun gal
I really enjoy those topics that stretch my mind and that is what I gravitate towards.

Hi and thank you goldangel. I think that DH has a very good format. One that allows others to ask questions...get responses and make new friends....all while we are in search of THE ONE. I have gained a lot of insight in just the short amount of time I have been on here and I'm thankful for all the input from people. I don't care to be a part of what I consider "school age" childishness. Been there and watched it while I was growing up and then watched the same stuff with my sons growing up. Some people can't open their minds and hearts to others very easily. I'm not sure if they feel that the person is a threat in some way to them or just what it is...but it is STUPID. Yes there is one person that I will not respond to with any of their posts or threads. This is because of something that happened not long after I got on this site...butttttttttttt I will not let that make me set judgement on others and what they might post.
Sorry..got off on a bit of a tangent!!

Defensive1;
I've heard of the "inner circle", so I know what you're saying. Your comments are welcomed and appreciated on this thread, as are all of the others. I like to hear, honestly, what people think when I post a thread. So, post what you think, not what others want to hear.

I choose which threads by the subject - once I see the subject THEN I look at the original poster's name. And, yeap, there are some where I think I will be interested and then after reading a few of the posts I back NOT so slowly out of the room because I know a fight is going to break out or the topic is not what it seems. Do I post my real feelings or what someone wants to hear? Definitely my opinion! If you read very many of my posts you will know I say what I mean whether my opinion is going to be popular or not!

Choosey...I understand what you are saying. We all live and learn from our experiences..both in *real* world and the *online* one. I totally respect you not posting or reading a thread from whom you have had issues. We all have that right thank goodness.

I dont care who starts a thread if it sounds like something I might want to see or comment on then I do....simple as that.
I have to admit that some people on here have caught my eye just by their personalities or view points or even their profile.
I happen to love a good since of humor and I suppose that effects some of my posts. If I see someone that I know has a great since of humor has started a thread then yes I will check it out.
Has nothing to do with any circle or square or even triangle lol I try as much as I can to think OUT OF THE BOX

Great posts on this thread! I understand that we each have our own way of doing things, and I respect that. I don't try to second guess how someone may take my responses, but, like someone else said, I think we should honestly speak our thoughts and opinions, and try to do so without offending.
While posting by authors makes sense to some, it seems rather prejudicial to avoid certain ones because of what they may have posted in the past. For me, the safest way, and the most democratic way, is to go by thread titles and content. That way, I can keep an open mind and not pre-judge because of who the author may be. JMHO

ldy...
you are totally right, why would someone allow an experience to be replayed if there was a way to avoid that??? Isn't that better than to continue a toxic situation???? For the individual and all others here....

Choosey, I'm not sure what you mean. But I know you have a point and I respect it. I'm not trying to change your opinion. You have a right to that, as we all do.That's all we're doing here, is expressing our opinions.

Being one of the "older bulls" in this pasture ... I would like to respond if I may..
This topic has been brought up before....seeing and participating in controversial
issues I have done and will continue to do with some adversaries that think their
personal attacks are cute...I really believe this has tone down this site with those
types...
Humour "Yes" Personal Attacks with Smart Personal Remarks "NO"...
Some will agree and some will disagree but this is what makes this site so interesting...
I have also advocated...If you Toss you better be able to Catch...if not get out
of the arena.....
I also advocated if you don't like the show...go to a different channel...simple solution
Thinking in terms of all the forementioned it will help in choosing which
threads to post on...
Welcome all Newbies...and I think all the older bunch
will all admit it has been a better and more peaceful site...
Making this 50+ forum a fun place to hang out...
As they would say in Texas...."Ya'll come back now soon..We'all will be waiting on Ya"
This a good Thread kty...Thanks!!!
