Gotta comment on Stargazer's....Yep, I've found that to be true, re: "if you're nice, you're boring'..." - I have found that to be very true...and some ladies that I've dated in the past eight or so years have actually told me that - "you're too nice!'... It's the old "Nice guys finish last' thing, that appears to be true (darn it!)... It's like some ladies want that "Mr Macho' guy - "take charge - of everything!'...and I'm not that way - I want a 50-50 partnership where we both decide, together, what we do, how we do it, etc. - I don't wan't to decide on something, we go do it, and I hear later "I hated that!'...it's a lose-lose situation...but I am who I am, and somewhere there's a lady who is REALLY looking for a "Nice Guy'...and so the search continues...

Poleshift that was too funny. That guy reminded me of my 1st husband. Only when I got out the gun, he was the one that left.
Cricket, a nice guy would finish first with me. Don't give up. There is a women out there who will love getting a nice guy. Don't settle til you find her.

"Peeves" about the opposite sex? There's good & bad in everyone but.....
1. Why is it you can date someone for several years & he's such a loving, sensitive fella. But then you move in together & he immediately becomes abusive & uncaring?
2. What about the age old story about a man is dying if he gets a little sniffle, takes to his bed, & whines about it constantly?
3. He doesn't listen when you talk & then when an event happens that you've told him about, you get "You never told me that!"
Also: Dishonesty
Egotistical
Self-centered, etc.
But then you come across a real nice guy (like Cricket?) & you realize not all men are jerks.

Why thank you 2bluiz...that was a nice thing to say (even with the "?' - I realize it's there because nobody TRULY knows anybody else on here (except for those that have met in person and/or are dating/already together).
I have to say, too, that the one about the person changing once they move in together is not gender-specific to men...Ohhhhh, I could tell you a couple of stories - but not enough room here..

Cricket dont worry about being ( too nice ) There are some of us that do appreciate someone who is nice. I for one do not find nice boring I find it to be a breath of fresh air. You will bump into someone one of these days that will appreciate all that you have to offer. When you do she will be a 1st class lady. Good Luck hun

Men that will not make a decision. Or one that is his way or no way.
Men that will not pick up after themselves, including leaving the bathroom ready for the next person.
Men that get out of a vehicle and leave you to walk 5 steps behind him across the parkinglot.
Men that talk consantly on the phone, while out to lunch, dinner or anythin else we are doing together.
Men that say they want a relationship, when they really only want sex.

Howdy, Cricket/George! Probably whatever peeves a person can think up could apply to either sex. The only one I can think of that wouldn't apply to women would be leaving the seat up. Why is it men don't complain about women leaving the seat DOWN if women complain you guys leave it UP?

I honestly don't think men think it's that big a deal...we go into the bathroom and if the seats down we raise it...no problem, no big deal. I guess women think of it more of a "disrespect' or 'you're not thinking about me' thing...dunno, but that's what I think.
