Love reading a good book with Bach playing in the background,
Nothing stirs the Soul like good old Peter …
Wait, can I use the word Soul?
Maybe I should say Mind?
Nothing stirs the mind like …
No…….. darn,
Nothing stirs the (about) 10 billion neurons, connected to other neurons, through about 10,000 synapses (an electrically excitable processes that transmits information by electro-chemical signaling where each axon terminal contains thousands
of membrane-bound sacs called vesicles, which in turn contain thousands of neurotransmitter,
"amino acids - glutamate, GABA, acetylcholine, dopamine, adrenaline, histamine, serotonin and melatonin"
then bind to chemical receptors opening up special gates or channels which let in a flood of charged particles such as, ions of calcium, sodium, potassium and chloride) in the human brain, like Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky compositions.
Thank God for random chance mutations, accumulating over vast amounts of time, then being chosen for by natural selection.
Wait …………. that’s not correct either … Man !!

Thank you a_codger. I had trouble posting the video.
I sent ya an email on the steps. The problem is not checking that box below the video that says "Use old embed code [?]". What happened is Youtube has added a new format for people that use Iphones or whatever it is so you want to use the standard embed code so you have to check that box. Let me know if it still doesn't work.

The same way as you would with any other post. Youtube doesn't make any difference. For instance, quote this post and hit preview first.

I went looking for Rock me Amadeus... All I got was that Falco stuff, I thought there was a great syncopated song from the 80's and I'm sure it is not what I'm finding.
Anyone else remember the song that I"m thinking of?
I had some other thoughts, but they are fleeting, and I'm ready for some sleeping...
Until tomorrow... Maybe I'll be thinking again. ?? ever?

Quote from Clarencec:
I've got this Vernon Handley conducted version of Elgar's First on CD. It's top notch stuff and sounds shorter than its 52 minutes when you've heard it a few times. The first movement is an enormous sprawling edifice with lots of twists and turns, and sets out the important "nobilmente" theme that runs through the thing like a spine. In the last movement the theme is revived with knobs on as the work approaches a thrilling climax. One to play in the background while doing the dishes or something.

Somebody recommended these piano concertos by Mozart as a good way for me to start enjoying classical music. This is a nice redition of Elvira Madigan. It has a very modern jazzy type of drum beat to it, and a nice surprise at the end.

I just listened to this symphony the entire way through and its magnificent. I recommend just having it play in the background while you are doing house chores or what not. Its difficult to put into words but its very stoic, especially at the start but then it changes and becomes softer and revealing and almost feminine. Very beautiful.
