If I am down the shore and I have the time to drive it--I go to the original WINDMILL in Long Branch---or Max's in Long Branch---same hot dogs--different grill. At the farm in Warren County --it's Route 46--JOHNNY"S. In New Brunswick--at the firehouse--there is a guy who makes Newark style "Italian hotdogs"--not the best food to eat when you have a fire to fight...but a firehouse cook is rare these days. He has Portugese rolls and onions and peppers and foot long hot dogs. I think there is a pinch of garlic in there someplace.

Windmill and maxes in long branch.. But you have to order the cheese fries with it too. The hotdog just isn't the same without them. Now im craving it..Think im going to windmill now..

OK, Ruts hut in Clifton for their relish, Hiram's in Fort Lee, Callahan's, Max's in Long Branch not just for the Hot Dogs, but their CORN ON THE COB as well. I remember Max's when they were on the Boardwalk in Long Branch before the big fire that also took out the Haunted House.
