It really upsets me that women are portrayed in such a bad light in the bible:
Eve "tempted" Adam
Women can't divorce unless he commits adultry
Women were "punished" by being made to bear a child ie. menstrual cycle
God is assumed to be male
Jesus was a male
It just seems so misogynistic sometimes, but I still believe in God..

The holy spirit could have spoken through women but no one would have listened to women and women were not allowed an education..

It's a great question though to get an answer to that, you would have to find out how the phenomena of evil came into our world and into the consciousness of human beings.
Then you would know more as to why women and indigenous races have been slaughtered
and suppressed through the centuries.
Ps. I don't think you could stomach what you were to find out.

actually the Holy spirit wrote the bible althoug hin forumruiner's case meg wrote it but it was the Holy spirit

God created man. Women grow, nourish, feel new human life within their own bodies. They invite death when giving birth to a new soul. A woman births male and female. Who has more insight as to the creation of life. God gifted women with the gift of creation within her body. Yet the Bible says women were born from the rib of man??? If the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit, why not include women who have suffered, sacrificed, devoted and live in the same faith? Why is man priviledged above women in higher worship or sanctified by God to be the preferrable or most worthy gender? Why can't a women be annointed Pope, Bishop, Cardinal, or Rabbi. Where in the Bible is it specifically stated it is only to be held by men? Why are the apostles scriptures added by Mary Magdelene not?

So many times, the scriptures tell of Godly women, and how they held worship services in their homes. There are so many Godly women mentioned in the Bible you wouldnt believe it. Read...the Bible

That might be true, but did you know that there are several women that God spoke to , and used women to make such a big difference. Ever heard about the story of Esther, she was an orphan girl, and she became queen. Ruth, married Boaz, In the lineage of Christ. Rahab, former prostitue, lineage of Christ. Deborah, She ended being the one who helped an army win the battle. There are known books, That were written by women. God uses women, Sometimes women are chosen when a man doesn't want to get the job done.
Even though Eve was tempted.. God told Adam the heads up about what is to go on in the Garden. Adam was believed to have been standing by Eve , when all this took place. Why didn't Adam do something?Adam could've said no. Women were made to bear children anyway. It does say, that labor pains would increase. Even though the "curse" came. Jesus came to break the "curse"

The Bible was edited by men at a time when women not considered much more than property. Frankly, it is a book that should still be having chapters added to it. Chapters to be included.. Diana, the story of continuing your work, loved by some, not really accepted by the family she chose to marry into. The truth of Amber in the story of the murder of a mom and baby by the hand of one they trusted. 9/11 and how it brought many back to what was important.... The book is unfinished.
