I have been attending a church where they believe in God but not the Devil. I can't say the name of the church.. But to me if there is a God isn't there the devil?? I mean you can't have light without darkness.. Joy without pain.. If God is all good and light then wouldn't the devil be all that is dark: murder, mayhem, wrath, chaos etc.

most bad things are done for selfish reasons, God is selfless and wants us to be the same, plus the bible tells us that satan exists you cant go though the bible and dismiss everything you dont want to believe, next you will be telling me that there are really two Gods because there is no way that one being could do all that he has done.

how can you beleive that Adam came from cat-litter and not that Eve came from a bone? You know technically babies come from Butts so A rib is actually a better way to be born
Faith thats the answer, I could never beleive in God until recently because I didnt want to just pick out of the bible what I wanted to beleive and rip out sections of the bible. If thats your attitude then I could easily dismiss the laws that God made and do whatever I want.

There is no devil, its all made up...they made it all up to scare the hell out of everyone, to worry you so you couldnt sleep at night, so you couldn't digest your food, to preoccupy everyone to give the sheeple something to be fearful of so they will behave like good girls and boys and be obedient so you would pay your bills on time....forget that devil bs...its all a lie and a sick joke...you must look into the true origins of evil and how it came about.
From the Bible’s convoluted scripture we are informed of the creation of man, and of the existence of two Adams, one of the Earth (natural) and one of the Heavens (engineered).
And God said: Let us make man in our image, after our likeness - (Genesis 1:26)
The first man Adam became a living being, the last Adam a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven - 1 Corinthians 15:45
Let us make him who shall nourish and sustain us. What shall we do to be invoked, to be remembered in earth? We have tried with our first creatures, but we could not make them venerate us. So then, let us try to make obedient, respectful beings, who shall nourish and sustain us - (The Maya Popul Vuh)
Evil came into our lives as a result of Alien Visitation and Genetic Manipulation between 30 to 50 thousand years ago.
It is a virus within the ailing body politic. It is literally a cunning alien force which has infected us with its own nature. It is within us as much as it is out there in our world. We are its prey and also its carriers. We are also its enemy by default. It hates us and, therefore, we are either of its kind and under its power, or we are its sworn opponents.
Humankind’s penchant for sadism, cruelty and injustice came into being and involves the intervention of alien beings from distant galaxies who, upon their arrival to our planet, engaged in several genetic hybridization experiments to have the perfect slave to serve them.
As a result of their pernicious transgenic experiments, homo sapiens inherited a divided biology and divided psyche. These illegal and immoral invasions into the biological sovereignty of our ancient ancestors caused man to be perpetually at war with himself.
His schizophrenic nature has given rise to schizogenic societies infested with injustice, crime, delinquency and perversity. This is psychology 101, and it remains a self-evident fact regardless of whether the deep symbiotic connections between mind and world are acknowledged or accepted.
A glimpse behind the dark veil of history, the subtle and hidden machinery of evil has pulverized truth, freedom and morality into dust, and has shattered and crushed the once unvanquishable spirit of man.
Sadly, it may take another age before this subtle rapport between microcosm and macrocosm is truly understood by our metaphysically vagrant "science."
The world is controlled by powerful secret societies and fraternal orders, whose agendas and schemes have little to do with the best interests of humankind. Naturally, the power-elites and their minions who apparently believe the world to be their personal play-pen have a great deal to lose should the “Under-Classes,” that is the ordinary men and women of the world, learn about the subtle nature of the psychic and social control which operates all around them and which is “hidden in plain sight.”
If we are to defeat these merciless and tyrannical hierarchs we must like detectives, be thoroughly conversant with their 'modus operendi' and like hounds on a trail, we must be familiar with their scent. Our adversary is both a mutilator and a scavenger.

I don't know about all that, but someone told me a long time ago that they didn't believe that there was a hell. He said that if God expected us to forgive everybody else for their "sins against us" then He should forgive all of our sins, since we can't be expected to be better than He is. Therefore, no hell.

Heaven or hell is not a place where you go when you die, it is where you are right now.
You make your own heaven or you make your own hell.

umm I hate to burst your bubble, but, God made hell for those who chose to be disobedient to him, God is just not a fluffy teddy bear who will forgive you without you being sorry. God is just not a pushover or even a wrathful angry being who will lash out at everyone. When Jesus Died on the cross he took your burndonsome sins with him but you must accept Jesus and fully regret your sinful ways in order for Jesus to distroy your sin and pay the ransom.

umm did you read the last part about you have to regret the sins you made(aka: make right, apoligize, take the burdon to jesus ect; ) for Jesus to take the burdon of your sins or am I missing something. to answer your question I am definatly not perfect just like the rest of you, but I repent and that Jesus has made it so that it is possible to get to heaven just by my faith and repentance.

Most decent people regret when they do something wrong. I also think most people try to be the best person they can be every day.

Redhead its good you are thinking about such things. You know it doesnt make sense that God the Creator, God of Love and Forgiveness, could ever have a thought of evil much less the devil. In Fact there is nothing in this world making sense which leads me to believe God has nothing to do with this world. I really do not think God is in control of this world, nor is he aware of it.
As far as the Bible goes, there are some things that make sense but the majority of it means nothing to the truth.
I think evil resides in the mind that believes it.
Is God going to condemn me for thinking he is the light of truth? I doubt it.
People who focus on the devil and evil focus on what they have put before God.
It makes sense to me to focus on love and forgiveness as much as possible.
Think about it, what have you to lose?
