I used a skateboard as my transportation for years. The only "trick" I knew was hopping the curb. I was more able to play when my feet were strapped into the snowboard.

Yeah Wally, that was me also. I only had one major wipeout. When I didn't realize how fast I was going and hopped a curb right into the dirt. The board stopped but I didn't. lol As I was flying through the air I had the brilliant idea to tuck and roll. I didn't want to loose teeth plowing up the ground with my face. I was in the air long enough to get over but when I hit my shirt and back were shredded. lol Good times.

Loose gravel on the road was a killer too.

Yeah Tahoe, I was gonna say that! Those steel wheels made you work and they coudn't take even the smallest crack. I still loved it.
