When I mentioned "shivery is dead" at work, two people looked at me and said "Oh NO it's NOT". So the question is, are they correct or delusional?
I think the real truth is simply that society doesn't call for that anymore (and it used to be the standard), so a lot forget about it until they wish to impress.
Dead, nope...just forgotten about probably.
However, the old cartoons are coming back and so are some of the older shows and movies. Perhaps Shivery will jump on the same wagon and make a return visit one day.

Chivalry is not dead but has been replaced with manners which is something that's been missing in our society for some time now. Chivalry was a practice used by the Knights of old when men would protect care for their women. Men brought up in the "Old School" mentality by parents who hold Morals, Values and Ethics close to heart will be in high demand by women who are tired of being treated like a piece of meat or someones personal property. Long live Chivalry!!!

Yes there are a few of us left in the world. I just don't understand why it's so hard for some men to treat a woman respectfully. Maybe some women like that sort of treatment but I could never treat a woman badly. Maybe there's still hope for good men.

Picme, I was in Kenosha last night.
Where were you ?!? I sure wish you would have been at the bachelor
auction I attended....
I had my tax returns and my Visa card ready to blow.
(The money went to Junior Achievemnet and the group putting the event on.)

Unfortunately, chivalry is now illegal in our sick society because one woman's chivalry is another woman's sexual harassment. The benefit of Clinton's presidency was proving that women's groups don't really care about women or abuse, but to get Democrats into power.

good question, and with gas prices as they are, i think we should all just have an open picnic in the areas and enjoy some old fashioned fun...too much stress trying to be perfect cuz it seems is what is needed to get past the winks...not perfect just a real womans opinion..*sigh*
