I hear ya there truckerdude - I'd leave 'em alone too. Ran into a few bears in little hikes I used to take around the camp site when I was younger...don't want to do that again anytime soon.

In two weekends of bow hunting this year we counted 37 bears, lions used to worry me, not so much now!!!!

In this area up in the mountains it's bears that scare me, but I normally go hunting in the white hills between Mayfield and Gunnison or the South Fields south of Mayfield and I see quite a few lions there....but the bears are moving down too. My dad works for Yardley Dairy there in Christianburg and they have pheasants there...anyway, they had a little trap set up to catch the coyotes before they got into the pen, and instead they caught a little bear cub. Got pictures with my daughter, that was a few years ago though.

I saw a bear this fall right where the road ends at south field and willow creek, where it turns to go back into Redmond. You know that canal right in the bend??? He was in it. The rock quarry had a huge lion roaming around it for along time.

Wow - that is a nice little area there. I haven't seen any bears there yet, but I have seen a few lions and lots of tracks. My friend keeps trying to talk me into going kitty hunting with her....we'll see...lol

Its fun right up to the time you catch the lion, after that anyone can take it. I thought hmm... when I saw that bear, you got along way to go up the hill before you hibernate, you try and sleep there your going to be woke up a bunch.

Oh yah - then he'd be cranky....LOL I'm glad I haven't ran into a bear there. Me and my dad or brother go up there quite often during the hunts. Maybe we'll see him - if we do, hopefully he's happy to get away from us....

Hi just to see who was on. Trucker we are very close. Do you ever get up into the small lakes in those parts I love Mirror lake. I just got some photos of a few of the places up ther by some friends who live up there full time the snow is still way too deep for me. And 7 bears have been sited by the fish and game in Hana and Duchene. They are being very bold according to one of the rangers who sent the photos

Yeah I heard a bear all but walked in to the café in Duchesne, the one by the 66 station right as you come into town. I do fish up there alot from strawberry to the duchesne river. I think I can get up to my place now???

Not one single bear I saw acted nervous about me, I think the ATVs have made them not afraid of humans and very dangerous.

i like to go by whitney lake and that and ride four wheelers also like to go to the sand dunes jericho in fact i m headed there friday
