maulesr Mancelona, MI age: 50	I am new to this site, ok this is the first time I’ve been on any dating site. I spent the first two days just reading posts and gaining perspective. I have decided to stay in the Michigan Chat since that’s where I live. I’m not opposed to a moderately long distant relationship, they're just harder. I am having a bit of trouble in getting this started. It could be my age or that I haven’t dated in almost 20 years. This is a brand new game and I just didn’t realize how drastically different the rules are. Ok, enough said… I find myself wanting a companion more and more, someone to invest in and care about, you know “share life“ with. This has always been part of my life but raising 3 boys alone invited a lot of distraction. One by one they are out in the world and the distractions are less and the desire more prevalent. As I gave thought to my situation I thought it fair to include a few things that help define me as a person. I don’t need to be adored but want to be responsible for the twinkle in her eyes. I don’t need to get my way - relationships use “our” not “my”. I don’t need the final say, just heard (not listened to). I believe that men and women are equals, different in physical, physiological and emotional make up, which gifts each differently for “life”. I believe you should laugh at least three times a day - twice at yourself. I’m sure this sounds corny but I’m hoping it gets the door open. If I’ve taken anything away from reading these posts it’s that women are looking for honesty.
