Reading through this thread I myself have become a little confused as to what the difference between what a man wh*re and a gentleman is. The reason I say this is because I have had a few friend (actual friends and not myself) who are or where man wholes. The only thing about it was they were more of a "gentleman" then most other men I knew. That was how they became so successful at being man wh*res in the first place.
However your question was how do you tell the difference? The only answer I can give you is to conduct a couple of simple tests.
1# Does he treat & talk to you the same way your dad treats and talks to your mom? This is provided your parents are good examples.
2# Does he treat & talk to you any differently than he does his own mom.

Just laidback, I guess my mom wasn't the only one who taught her boys those things.
METU...the chair thing, I know how to do that but the lady I've been seeing for over a year now, she still won't or doesn't like for me to do the chair thing. It took several months before she got used to me opening the car door or any door for her. She had dated some real a$$holes in the past. She won't even let me help her with her coat.
That is how screwed up she is from the past guys.....I can't wait til I can retrieve her a warm moist hand towel and clean her up after we make love........that too is another story.

While a gentleman respects womanhood, he may or may not respect the individual woman but will always give them the benefit of the doubt; being kind, courteous and mannerly.
Male wh*res are trash and treat all humans with disdain; wading in trash long enough will sully ones entire being. 
Gentlemen will not bring up the subject of sex or intimacy until the female does and then watch your behind; because he'll be all over it !!

So is the purpose of this one to find a gentelman or find the male wh*res 
I do believe a gentelman will open a door for a lady as far as the pull out the chair thing and push it back in not sure who the hell started that one... I fell its harder then letting the lady sit down on her own and think it would feel weired setting down while someone else is pushing in your chair...
You will know a gentalmen he doesnt talk trash and will treat you right ..... he will put his arm around you in public and make you feel special... He will care as much about your wants and needs as his own ...... Also when it comes to trash talk its not right off the bat and he waits for an opening from the other person.... Its always fun to talk sex and look on here how many smiles a person can get from the comments or should I say straight out laughs..... But a gentelman waits for the right time and a que when both are ready to go further with it....
A male wh*re will jump right in and hope to get right in because thats all there looking for..
