Why is it so hard to find new freinds and people to hang out with ? I am so tired of being bored !! All the people my age are married or move to differente places and i find myself freindless. How do you make freidns i am 24 im not old

Here is the thing all the people i meet are either really into religion and that is all they talk about, or they party every night and go drag the bars. Isnt there any decent people that are not religous zealots out there ?
I have found living outside of utah its easy for me to make freinds but here it is really hard. People are not freindly and if you try to talk to somebody they just give you a dirty look like "Why are you talking to me". Anybody feel free to reply to this........

I find I have the same problem. There does seem to be a culture / counter culture environment here in the Land of Zion. Granted, I ended up at some bar, club, or lodge every night last weekend but that was never the plan. I get constant exercise, drink beer but not hard liquor, eat extremely well, quit smoking 20 years ago but don't avoid smokers, get plenty of sleep, and avoid stress. All in all a generally healthy lifestyle. All but a few fellow eccentrics seem to expect all or nothing from me. If I'm not a church goer, I'm supposed to be guilty of everything that's opposite of what the church stands for.
It's all very frustrating.

I have a hard time understanding your problem. You live in St George A collage town, rated number three for places to go for spring break. Second Mesquite is thirty minutes away. You have women of every back ground and intrest right there. Is it friends in general you don't or can't seem to make/keep, or just women???

St George is a pretend college town, Dixie is just a glorified highschool. Im not into hanging out with highschool kids anymore. I went on a date with a girl that was 18 all she did was talk about highschool i was so bored! I find it hard to find freinds that are interesting and mature. I dont like to get wasted and i dont like to hook it up with trashy girls (like i said in my origianl post)

I grew up here in Utah. Most of my school years were in Bountiful. It was difficult to grow up here because I'm not LDS, but, it's not as tough now that I'm older.
