I don't care how good the football game is, what just happened on 24, or which desperate housewife is sleeping with who. I'd rather spend the day doing something, come back and cook a good meal, and then sit down with a good book or yet another DIY project. I already have a few too many hobbies but am always up to trying new things and wouldn't mind adding rock climbing, alpine skiing, or maybe kayaking to the mix. It's actually a much simpler life than it sounds. Without the boob tube, the internet, or a computer game sucking hour upon hour out of your day, there's all sorts of time for more rewarding activities.
I'd love to find someone with the same appreciation for the simple things in life. Active, down to earth, and yet willing to take the trouble to treat themselves well. Someone who prefers spending their days witnessing the stunning beauty of God's creations. An appreciation for good books, good food, and a willingness to try new things is a bonus.
