I moved to east tn 11 years ago and sometimes feel I am an alien, Have had dates and open the doors for them say thanks and they look at me like I am nuts, or would rather open the door themselves. Have you ever noticed the the women who have men here do all the driving.

Yes mam,  I know there are true southern Gentleman that still open doors, take our hats off if waring one, and also be polite and sweet talking to a lady. I would consider myself a real southern gentleman. Not a dumb smart butt redneck. I appreciate women in general and always have thought that women go through a lot more than we do. Having babies, worring about someone attacking them, raising the kids, taking care of the home life. I honor and appreciate women as much as I would my own mother. Jerry

they do exist i would say that most of my friends and complete strangers say that i am 1, but all i want is my partner(if i evr get 1) to be number 1 on my list. we do exist u just have to look past all the crowd to see us sitting in the back of the room

I keep being told I am a super sweet guy, really nice, considerate, etc. Someone once told me I was everything she could ever want in a guy. Just the other day, I went on a date. Same thing.

I have tried this online dating thing. It doesn't seem to produce the sweetest of guys. But I don't want to give up on love. Are their any gentlemen out there?

I respect your opinion but disagree with you. After being diagnosed officially last year with Asperger's Syndrome and Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity, my views about relationships changed entirely. Now, I realize what people who have "differences" (like me) and disabilities go through just for people to see through their outer selves and come to know them from within and such. But this idea of getting a woman to bed quickly?? Nope. I have been reading a book on "getting real" and "complete honesty". Concepts that seem foreign in this day and age to a lot of people.

You can't believe anything a man says! He will say or do anything to get a woman to bed.
I just found that out! I was talking to a man who was married and I though he was not. He said I never asked directly but I did many times and he did not tell the truth. I have 3 grown sons. 1 that has never been married and I have tried to teach them right from wrong. I hope they never turn out to be what most men are!
