I just saw in the paper where the state has posted the school district tax rebates.another election year hokus pocus.if you didnt know, these proceeds were supposed to be evenly distributed after the seniors healthcare plan got their share.now they've decided to base the rebates based on a formula of average property values and incomes.
this is a crock.if you live in a city you'll get more because your property value is higher but lower income so you'll get a better break.if you live in a higher income area then you won't get as much regardless of property value.
my gripe is since i choose to live in a better school district and out of a crime area i am being penalized.both property values and income for my school district are among the top in the state.i already pay higher taxes and pay twice as much to live there.we're getting the lowest amount in the state.$ 54.00 not even enough for a tank of gas.cities are getting 300 plus dollars with philly getting the most at 600 plus dollars.looks like the cites won out since they have the most voters.
what's your thoughts? most will never see it especially if you escrow your taxes.even if you get the average,300 dollars, that's only 25 per month.
one more thing, what happened to the 240 million that they got for the 8 licenses the state sold?

Can't answer your questions. Just very glad the racinos in NY got their break from the confiscatory taxes they paid throughout the first couple years of operation.
Love the track.
