I'm an educated, attractive woman who has is also a lifetime equestrian. I have 3 horses that live at home and I ride them all 4 weekly in addition to being responsible for their care. I find that men love the "idea" of this versus the "reality". The reality is the horses require alot of time and money. This is a non-negotiable. These horses are my children. I'm not a party girl. Although I enjoy an occasional visit to the city it is the seasoning in my life and not the entre. It is challenging to find a kindred spirit! The men on the equestrian sites, although they may be nice people are typically uneducated and often rednecks. Although I have friends and acquaintances from an array of backgrounds I would like to find my mental equal. Is there anyone out there who is a dedicated athlete? If so,how have they found a way to incorporate their sport regiman into dating. How many have found that their dates become resentful? Rocket

So what do you want to do? Talk or breed?
Good grief, I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go round.
I'd rather stick to my gas eatin atvs.
I don't have to shovel poop.
Just turn the key and go.
This is one of the rare times I want to be called a redneck hillbilly.
Yeah, whatever.

Horses are your passion. Stick with the horses. There is one out there for you who will understand. It would not be a good idea to walk away from that just to date.
Maybe the new horse dr in town???

Thank you for your support. This is the first time I've written one of these blog/threads and there have been a few rude replies. I guess they must think they are the datehookup police and/or have too much time on their hands. It takes all kinds. Rocket

I don't believe in breeding as I assist in the rescue of far too many abused and neglected animals. Isn't it nice that this is the USA and we have choices?Rocket

rocket... if horses are your thing, then by all means go for it. You will find that one you seek. As a kid growing up, we were pretty independent. My dad would pay, but I would go to NM and rescue the wild mustangs from out there. These were really wild mustangs, eating the feed meant for cattle (greed)and at one point in the 50's the air force would target practice on these animals. They started catching these horses in the 60s and 70s and for a minor fee, you could buy them. I think the most we got at one time was 10. Long haul from NM back to MS, but worth it. I would break these animals, sell some, breed others. At one point I had 27. We did our own vet deal unless one was really sick. The way I was brought up, sorry to say, sometimes I shot the animals that were too unhealthy to heal. I would never do that now. Ever. Wish i had the property to have them out here. Love those critters.
