dinner, walk in the park, or some interesting thing like a museum, amusement park, county fair, putt putt, video arcade. Anything but the norm. I never understood the movie deal on a date, unless you are 14, 15, possibly 16. Only place you can hold hands and steal a kiss. But as an adult, you pick her up, hopefully you stopped by for a little floral arrangement on the way. To take her out to dinner, is wonderful. Then you stop all that, hopefully, good conversation by taking her to a movie where you are supposed to be quiet? If dinner went well, heck, take her skinny dippin'. ha ha.. no kidding, do something that will totally take her by surprise. EVERY dude out there takes them to the movies. Step out of the 'normal' box. Be orginal. Trust me, Girls love that. (most of the time they are sitting in the movie watching some shoot'm up bang bang movie, simply because they felt you wanted to see it, they are thinking.. man, lets get outta here)

I don't think the movie part of the date is a great idea. How can you get to know someone while watching a movie? Dinner isn't a bad idea. You have to do something together. A street fair or something like that where we can talk about the stuff we see, and discover what each other is about. Even miniature golf can be good.
Aww who am I kidding, sit in a bar util you both fall off your barstools drunk. What better way to get to know each other?

And a comedy club
First you dazzle them with Egyptian culture(Or be dazzled yourself)
Then , you can both laugh your ass off at the club

Take her fishing, canoeing or kayaking on a quiet lake or smooth river. Go for a evening ride around the lake on a pontoon boat. Deck chairs, lemonaide, and nice conversation.
Fairs, festivals, zoos are all good also. Museums, art shows, and car shows.
A campfire with a group of friends, let her see your friends and how you are around them.
Roller skating, bowling, tennis, golf.
Just so many things to do besides the old dinner and movie.
