If you could magically go back in time to another era, (temporarily), which one would you pick, and why?

I would go back to the Civil War time frame. I have long been a Civil War Buff and I'll like to see and experience it. I love doing Civil War trivia. A lot of people don't know this, but the very last battle of that war was the Battle of Pamitto Ranch in Glaveston Texas. It was a Confederate loss. The interesting part about this is....that battle was fought over a month AFTER Lee Surrendered. Just think if Lee had, had a cell phone! "Ok guys...put the guns up. It's over...we lost!"

Hi Tom, fair question. Okay, I've always been drawn to the 1940's for some inexplicable reason. I was really young in the 1950's, but that would probably be a fun time to experience too, as a young adult.

After the war maybe, but before and during I hear was no pleasant time. But, I sure like all of time. It was happy and sad, as always has been. I am really happy being able to be apart of the great baby boom generation, which started in 46 and ended in 64, alot of changes in our days huh.

I wouldn't mind spending a week at the turn of the century, just to see what it was like, but as I said earlier, I feel inexplicably drawn to the 1940's. I have no idea why.
