Been a single parent all but 3yrs of my 12yr old daughters life. I didn't have anyone to take care of her or help me out.........and even know my ex only sees our 3yr old 31/2 days a month. I guess it isn't easy to date as a single parent no matter how much help you have. You just have to make a choice to say........I'm getting a sitter this day and you go out and have a good time...........I myself don't go out, but not because of my girls.....just because I don't want to.lol I wish you the best of luck.........

How about finding a nice lady at church...And you may meet some new friends at church that would love to keep that little girl every once in a while..And she might meet some
new friends too. It always nice to take her to the park..You would be surprised how many single mothers you find there.

I'm on my own too and I feel your frustration. You need to find a sitter that your daughter and you feel comfortable with and then make time. Every other weekend take some time for you, and when you are with your daughter make the msot of that time too
Good luck!

Man, I have 2 boys and moved 1000 miles from my family. My ex has little contact and is no financial help. I run my own business (which is like AT LEAST 2 jobs!). I know your pain, but there are places. I meet some very nice people when we are at the parks. I found a gym with daycare. There are ways. There are baby-sitters, whoever suggested churches to find sitters is right on the money. The point is, if you find someone that you have chemistry with, you can find a way!
GOOD LUCK!

Omg.. TALK ABOUT HARD DATING.. try this on for size.. my son is real sick right?? well, all the friends i supposedly had last year vanished after he got sick so I don't even have friends to come visit or take him to HIS old friends houses to stay over night.. I'm a widow so no husband to have visitation.. no family in this state other than my late husbands family and they blame ME for his death soooooo we don't talk much..sooooooooooo unless a friend of a friend watches my son so I can go dancing with my friend then I don't go out cause it's impossible.. and very very frustrating.. thats why I want FRIENDS to come over and have cookouts.. see what I mean????? ok, i'm done venting now...
