Good morning! Did ya see??? Gas dropped!! It's down to $4.02. OHBOY!
Born and raised in the great state of Nebraska. Battle Creek to be
exact. Population 700. No stop light (altho, we do have a flashing
yellow at the end of main street now) Three bars, Five churches,
Red Bud, Chicken Shack and a Post office. Got one cop. hmmm...
reminds me of Braidwood, minus the glowing two headed fish.
Always lived in the big "O"? I have a friend that works at the transportation
building there as you go into town. I've been thru your fair city. It
seems like a nice town!
Vacation starts in 4 hours.....oooooohhhhhh...life is good!!!

Honey,
There is a nuclear power plant near that area. Nuclear reactors need to be kept cool...They use water to do this. After the water is used it is sent to a place to cool off or a "Cooling Pond". Well, there are fish in the cooling pond...And people fish there. That's why we call them glowing fish because they are radioactive. Really they are not radioactive but the possiblity that a reactor leaking into the water is always there.

LOL....guess you are right. We don't even have a flashing yellow light
here. Only two bars....12 churches....back home we don't have the two
headed fish. Altho, we got a guy that has two thumbs...wonder if that
counts?
My vacation has officially begun....and here I sit with my pink fuzzy
slippers. LOL....I think I might just have to change my name to
Ineedalife....this next 5 days I really don't have anything planned.
BUT....later this fall I'm heading to AZ to meet my new granddaughter!
I have to take 5 weeks of vacation before december or I'll lose it. I
know, heck of a situation to be in.... somebodies gotta
be in it...I figure, it might as well be me.....
Honey....the glowing fish aren't really glowing. Just the people
that eat them can be seen in the dark. Kinda a cool thing...*wink*

went downtown for dinner last night...gas down to $4.01.....whoooopie!
mornin D.....slept in till 7 this morning. might even go back. LOL...
is heck being used to getting up at 3. Luckily I'm one that can open
one eye and still be incoherent. Nah...today i'm hosting a 75th birthday
party for a friend. It's gunna be a surprise. I hope he doesn't have
a heart attack or anything. That would suck.  I've worked
hard on this surprise. LOL....figure better do it now. Rather see him
see all his friends if you know what I mean. That's my big plan for the
day. As far as the rest of the week. hmmm....pink fuzzy slippers....a
good book...some gardening. Big vacation comes this fall. Nothin
Large this time. destressification is the word for the week.

 Good morning everyone and welcome

We all have fun on here and DH.
Guess I will just stay here and fish
in Rend Lake since it is only 3 miles
away and full of all kinds of fish.
There are bass tournaments held here-
in case ya'll like that kind. I just
love fishing for whatever as long as
they are big enough to eat.
