There are over 12 million residents in Illinois...12 Million...Why are there only a little over one hundred people on this site for Illinois...Other DH states have much more. Also out of that group only a small percentage post anything. It looks like a person has to travel out of state for a Date. Just my thoughts in the early morning hours...

I'm new around here and was wondering the same. Posts are few and far between.
They were all asleep I suppose by 9 last night when I got on. As far as going
out of Illinois to date. I've found that alot of people in my area have never
even been to "the city". I'm shocked by the number of people that have never
even been out of Will County. Maybe they are happy and settled and living
thier lives and WE are the ones that might not be right?

WELCOME TO DATEHOOKUP
and Illinois Chat "Datingagain" and "Chillytoes"

This is one of the local sites and we just check in or tell about what we have to say or on our mind; thus everyone knows what is happening in Illinois.

We all find out favorite sites and go there and join in and chat, read and browse. You probably will find out where you belong by your age bracket, hobby, religion even food and gardening or farming and ranching. We also have a few 'Bars' as you will see soon.

It takes awhile so just browse and comment on all the sites. You will find a lot of fun and goings on here. Please do NOT give up because it takes a few times around to get familiar with your favorites. Lots of kidding, joking, music, to make you feel warm and good inside. BUT MOST OF ALL we are all friends and family most of the time anyway, lol].
Some have started dateing on here from joining in.

The threads are pretty cool. It's a good place to socialize and pass the time with people from all over the states and beyond. What I'm saying is that the chances of dating In Illinois using this site are pretty slim. I could go out locally to meet people but the town I live in really doesn't have the type of girls I'm interested in. Too many pot heads...I'm just not into that type of lifestyle.

Know the feeling well. Haven't found anyone in town worth getting to know.
Might just be me. I'm not a barfly. Don't mind going in to the two that
are here to visit with the girls. But feel icky being hit on in that
situation. I'm no prude but I don't want a drunk. Was just at Starved
Rock last weekend. *peering your way* now if I could find a man *voice
trailing off.....LOL....I need a life

Starved Rock is nice...Have you ever been to mathiesen(sp)park. It's just down he road from starved rock. It's much nicer if you ask me.
I grew up in Romeoville/Lockport area. We would go down to the Braidwood Quarries when we were kids. I'm sure it's closed off now. In fact it might have been closed off then lol. It was a good time.

Well maybe if we keep posting in here we can get enough locals to join us. I noticed that many times this section will go a day or two without a post. Who wants to post something and wait 24 hrs for someone to comment back?

I do post in the main forums, but I would sure like to talk to more people from this area. Not that I have a problem with people 200 million miles away. I just don't have enough frequent flyer miles to go meet people like that.

Never been to the other park.(and I'll not try to spell it either.
Might have to take a gander. Sounds great. When we first moved
here in my past life *BD* (before divorce)
I lived in Bolingbrook. Kids graduated from high school there.
Wow, has it change. Big city school now. That was last century tho.

The quarries are closed as far as what you are talking about. They've
got the REC club and some good fishing at the cooling pond. I wouldn't
eat them tho. Tends to make a girl glow in the wrong way if ya know
what I mean.

I'll post.....might be new around here but I find it quite theraputic
call me crazy...

When did you live in Bolingbrook?

I was in Romeoville until 1985. I hung out in Bolingbrook alot.

I like the way you put "In my past Life"...I never really thought about it like that. There is a lot of truth to that tho. It is a different Life.

I can't believe that they have fishing at the cooling pond. That's just funny.

Your not crazy for using this site for therapy. I think most of the people are doing the same thing. I know it helps to pass my time...

My ex worked for IBM and we transfered throught the midwest. Finally
landed in Bolingbrook in '92. Lived there until '00. So been away
for a bit. My girls as I say graduated in '00 and they took off for
Iowa to go to school. That's where the ex was at the time. It worked
out well. They both got good educations on him. God rest his soul,
he lives in AZ now. They followed. hmmmmmmm....think I was in Nebraska
still in '85. Gad, seems like worlds away.

And yes, fishing in the cooling pond tends to bring the city folk down
to our area. Weekends we are bustin at the seams. The donut biz is
gooooooood!

Donuts, beer and glowing fish. I guess that would be livin' in the country to the city folk...Lol. I can hear the stories now. "I caught a two foot fish with one eye and it was glowing...Swear to God it was."

So, where are you from orginally?
