What turns you off in a profile? |

So, I have been on various sites for close to 3 years now... and saying that is quite depressing, lol. I was thinking we could just say a little something that turns us off when we look at a profile, something that makes us not want to write the person. Might help others to see what is not appealing to other people in a profile...
and I am bored, called in sick from work, this was the best I could come up with.
So to start it off...
The use of the word God more then 3 times. I am not religious, so I know we would not be a good match. 
Every pic of them is out drinking. Coming off as an alcoholic there.
5 pics on profile... 4 of them are of dogs. And who would I be dating here?

a girl who dosent care for other poeple.
a drug user and a girl that is out of control when she is drunk.
one more thing a girl that talk's about people behind there back.

-I can do religious, but just not hardcore religious, us agnostics can't be too terribly picky or we would never date anyone
-Sparkles
-Out of shape (personal preference)
-Pink background
-Favorite book: the bible
-I would have to agree about the bar pics, too many is just tacky
-Pictures of NOT them aka their pets or paintings
-Pictures with friends (i mean which one is her? the fat one or the semi-attractive one?)
-when there is so much makeup you know she would give you a heart attack in the morning when you find out shes a man.
maybe these were too harsh...nah

so what turns me off in a profie? well theres two of them. one of them wants your photo of you but thats ok there. but then she wanted anyones bank account, plus she wants your address is reguired, then she wants you to submit a $ 50 dollars application reviewal fee, and applicalion fee is non-refundable,. now whats that sound like to you all. this is her profile " defiantlylter " thats her profile. now the next profile is "gredigurl" now she said she is greedy. now those are the ones that turns me off. so tell me what you think dose that turn you off as well. im looking for others but nun has come up yet.

I am a religious person but I'm also an Ideologist so I could care less on a persons belief, but lets see:
: if they're High maintence(I aint rich)
: Only lookin for Sex(for all we know she's trying to spread the aids virus)
:Has pictures of an X boyfriend on the site
: They say there a stubborn and a straight up b*tch

What turns me off about a prolfile? Bad attitudes. I read some of these profile essays where right from the start the lady is bad mouthing men, or writes with a negative slant about men in their past. I don't want to hear that crap myself.
Pictures that were obviously of her and their ex, where she just cropped him out of the picture, but you can see his arm holding her. How TACKY. That cracks me up.
Or the pictures taken that only show their face. 14 pictures on her profile, all look like she's looking out the porthole of a ship going by. Nothing but from the neck up.
And like what was already mentioned about animal/pet photos, paintings/posters, poems, shows me they are puting up false fronts to cover up something they lack or aren't proud of about themself. It's just bait to get you to write to them.
And again, the profile of the woman that says her age is 54, but the picture shows a lady obviously in her thirties - twenty years before, and still thinks she's being honest that she still looks that way. It's bait.
But I'm a smart and wise old fish and I ain't fooled....hahaha.

I would have to agree that men with no shirts on are a BIG turn off. Another thing that I have trouble with is when a man says that he smokes. I just can't get past the smell of the cigarettes and/or cigar. It also turns me off when people make remarks that are crude. If I wanted crude I would watch some of these TV programs that are on now.

my very favorite is when they have a GIANT list of things they don't want. that kind of relentless optimism just leaves me shakin my head. it's almost like they think of every single bad thing that's ever happened to them in a relationship and just throw it in their profile. you just KNOW they're probably miserable about some real or percieved transgression every single day. that's really what i hope to find on here, a woman with several steamer trunks full of angry bitter hostile baggage who is determined to find some poor bastard to help her haul all that crap to an early and in the guys eyes, probably much yearned for grave...

Turn-offs: People who can't spell. It's just one of the many signs that you won't be able to hold an intelligent conversation with the person. Even people who can't use the proper form of a word...ie: than-then, your-you're, there's-theirs.
Grr!!! I don't need to be speaking to a brain surgeon or an MIT grad, but - Come on, people!

I would agree with the ones that come off like they are better than anyone else like shirts ofF or trying to show off there body like they are models or something.. Guys like that are only looking for women who will be boosting their egos and then look to see if the grass is greener somewhere else
