About Me |
So many people (men and women both) have developed a rigid, tunnel vision-like approach to every day life. I guess this is commonly known as a comfort zone. What gets me is they aren't the least bit interested in venturing beyond the known and predictable to experience something new which might just prove to be invigoratiing or expanding in their life experiences. Suffice to say, I'm not among those.
If (and hopefully this isn''t a huge if) you enjoy discussing books, movies, even politics or religion which I don't feel are taboo subjects, and sharing yourself emotionally with someone who will listen and relate with you, who can be a solid shoulder to lean on when you need one, you could take a huge chance and contact me. Though I work in construction, I'm articulate, smart enough to hold my own in a conversation with anyone, dare I say sensitive to those around me, and enough of a rogue to set my own course without being enslaved to the 'shoulds' in life. My life would improve if I had a special friend as would anyone's.
I've always contended I would know it when I see it. That applies to a place to call home, a woman I could spend the rest of my life with, and a host of other aspects in this life. I trust my heart. I follow its wisdom. I let it guide me through every decision I make. I take great care not to let it become too jaded for fear I'll become another judgemental, narrow minded drone who isn't fit to be a friend to anyone. I'm confident and strong willed while remaining maleable to what life hands me each day. I'm open minded and accepting of people's differences yet wish I could meet a woman who has as much adventurous spirit as I do.
I don't really have a type per se. But it is important to me for you to be in reasonable physical shape and have a good mind and heart. I'm not interested in drama preferring instead to share the little day to day things like flirting while cooking, cuddling up on the couch to a good movie, taking weekend getaways to the coast, camping in out of the way places, generally being best friends and lovers.
I'm getting too old to be an adrenalin junkie but I'm way too young to be a couch potato either. Balance and moderation in all things after all... Oh, and by the way, I'm a card holder if that's an issue of importance. If you have questions, ask. If any of this piques your interest, I'd enjoy hearing from you. Please, also, be within a reasonable distance. Too old for long distance romance anymore too.
