I am an introvert with a strong spiritual and philosophical bent, who longs for relationship with someone of similar interests.
I am inspired by the concept of being transformed by the renewing of my mind, and discovering the kingdom of heaven which is within me. I find great pleasure in studying the principled truths that I find in the texts of Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism, and Yoga, and at the same time am totally challenged in attempting to apply those truths to the living of my life.
I enjoy quiet time at home, and long walks immersed in the beauty of nature. Health and fitness are important components of my lifestyle. Along with the long walks in nature, I like to perform resistance and stretching exercises. I have evolved to a point of compassionate appreciation for, and concern about all living things, which has led me to become a vegan in my dietary habits.
I love to learn, and spend a great deal of time investigating the massive array of information that is available on the Web. As the technology coordinator of a small nonpublic K-12 school I am able to share my interest in educational technology with the students that I work with.
I enjoy musical performance as a singer, and take time out once in awhile to do some recording, mostly of oldies, love, and fun songs, as well as contemporary Christian songs, but I no longer perform in public much anymore.
I keep abreast of politics and current events, both locally and around the world, but I'm not much of an activist, preferring more to simply living the change I would like to see occur.
Somewhat critical by nature, I am attempting to fix my thoughts on what is true and good and right, to think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others, and think about all the things I can praise God for and be glad about. (Philippians 4:8)
Of all the principles that I would like to apply in my life, the greatest of these is love! And of all the love that can be shared, the highest expression is that found in a relationship between a man and a woman, a husband and wife. It is this highest expression of love that I am desiring to experience in my life. And within this environment of love with a woman, I would like to exhibit and share the fruit of the Holy Spirit, that being love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, and have this be the ambience in which we could then share in the activities that we would discover and grow to enjoy experiencing with each other.
