I am multi-faceted, as we all are, and a very easy going kinda person as it takes a lot to get me upset or off kilter. I am usually described as good natured and an eternal optimist - I would rather look at everything as the glass is half-full rather than half-empty. I have traveled quite a bit and have lived in Europe for the better part of my early years, and as a result, I am culturally diverse, open-minded and can quickly adapt to a variety of situations and people.
I enjoy a variety of activities, especially if it involves the outdoors...I love each season for different reasons:
Winter for it's stark beauty and the fact that I get to play in the snow!
Spring for it's newness and the beauty of new life that you see all around you in the trees, flowers, peoples attitudes and for the fact that I have that extra spring in my step!
Summer for it's warm/hot weather where I can enjoy the great outdoors and all it's splendor and where I can enjoy swimming, boating, camping, hiking and those sultry nights staring at the endless sky and counting all those stars that seem just an arm's length away.
Fall for it's wonderous colors and for those times spent around a campfire with good friends and if one is lucky enough to have a special someone to snuggle up with.
I love to read and some of my favorite authors are: Stephen King, Clive Cussler, Fern Michaels, Lynn Kurland, Stephen Koontz, just to name a few. I also like to paint artistically when I have time on furniture, canvas, bird houses, etc. I also like to go to flea markets or garage sales and try to find those "treasure" finds where I can refinish/fix and enjoy.
I like to workout as I go to the gym everyday. I have just "re-discovered" (about 2 1/2 months ago) just how much I do enjoy it; in fact, when I miss even one day, I feel kind of let down. It's kind of a "drug" in a way in that it gives me a lot of energy and makes me just feel good. Of course I have to be honest in that there are some days where I don't want to work out because of either I'm too tired or maybe I just don't want to, and for those days, I do "talk" myself into it and am glad that I do....can take a lot of convincing sometimes...:lmao
Who I'd like to meet: well, as corny as it sounds, I just want to meet someone who is a nice and decent guy. One who is honest, trustworthy, considerate, good hearted, mannerly, and easy going - oh, and I should add that I am very attracted to tall men, but I am keeping an open mind as you never know what "package" the "one/best friend" is going to be in the shape of. A good sense of humor is a must as I love to laugh and do often. One who is not into games and can just be themselves...you know, save the drama for your mama....!
I learned a lot time ago, the hard way, that you can't change people, so the more "real" you are, the better chance you will find a friend(s) and, if you're lucky, a soul mate. Why waste time being someone you're not? Life is way too short not to be able to enjoy it to the fullest and grabbing every ounce of happiness we can along the way!
