Another poem by Javan that I like a lot
by kevinbarry at 11/23/2009 6:33:26 PM

I have four books by Javan. They are usually available in Barnes and Noble and Borders and also on amazon.com.

We are born into the World
Like a blank canvas
And each person that crosses our path
Takes up the brush
And makes his mark
Upon our surface

So it is that we develop

But we must realize there comes a day
That we must take up the brush
And finish the work
For only we can determine
If we are to be
Just another painting
Or a Masterpieceā€¦.

Beautiful poem and oh so true. I think that it takes us along time before we realize that this is how we all develop into a person ....by what and how we use the brush. As we get older the strokes of the brush being to develop in colors ..shapes..realization, and that we have control of the brush ... only them can we being to take it from a painting to a Masterpiece. This of course is hard work and many don't take the time to stop and look at you to see what a beautiful Masterpiece you have become.... as most Masterpieces come from within the human being. As the outer part of us is only your earthly body. Thanks again Kevin for a great Blog.you always make a person stop and think and take up the brush one more time
