Why do guys call girls words like hot and sexy?

I would think that most men use those words because although they may find some women pretty...there may not be a sexual attraction. I guess "hot" and "sexy" are words reserved for that. How about "she looks fairly decent."...lol. In any event, I am never called hot or sexy by women (except by maybe one or two when I was younger and in better shape). I've never been called pretty either...I have been called cute however when I had long hair.

It's like for them your saying your ok or your not bad. But sexy and hot is like saying your gorgeous or fine. But I'm speaking from my experiences.
