People who believe in astrology tend to believe in fate. They use their own personality traits to decide what type of person would be the best fit for their own personality in a relationship. People who use astrology to guide their love life do the same thing, only they use their astrology sign to evaluate who would be good for them in a relationship. Twelve signs known as the zodiac signs are used to match up people because it’s believed that people who are a certain sign tend to display certain qualities. For instance, Leos are extroverts so they match up well with signs that are able to handle their need to be in the spotlight. Every sign has a “compatibility” rating with another sign. This is measured by looking at a sign’s common traits and comparing them with the most common traits belonging to other symbols. People go to love consultants looking to find out what is in store for them when it comes to their dating life. They get these consultations because they believe in the main thing astrology teaches: that every living thing is connected to everything else. Since everything is connected, some people are believed to be able to “see” those connections. People go to these consultants to get their “Soul Connection” chart constructed so that they know who they are going to be able to connect with in the future. This kind of astrology is known as esoteric astrology. The charts tell them about themselves and some people believe that their fate is written in the stars. In terms of compatibility, Leos and Aries are compatible because both signs tend to be very emotional and Aries are comfortable with letting an extrovert Leo hog the limelight. However, Leos and Pisces aren’t good matches because Pisces are too sensitive to be able to cope with rowdy Leos. Aries and Gemini are ideal matches because they are both creatures of impulse. They can develop interests outside the relationship without the other person becoming upset that they’re not getting enough attention. However, Aries and Virgos are not good matches because Virgos tend to be logical thinkers so they can get impatient with Aries. Sagittarius and Aquarius are compatible because they have similar temperaments. On the other hand, Sagittarius and Pisces are not good matches because Sagittarians may find the relationship confining. Pisces are good with Cancers because their personalities are alike in nature. However, Pisces and Libras are bad matches because their attraction to each other will not last for long. Libras are good matches with Scorpios because the differences in their personalities actually attract them to each other. Libras and Capricorns are not good matches because Libras will find Capricorns to be too boring. Scorpios and Cancers do well together because they will act as a calming influence on each other. The Scorpio and the Taurus don’t match well because jealousy becomes a big problem in their relationship. Cancers also do well with people born under the Taurus sign because they both like to focus on their “home.” However, Cancers and Gemini are bad matches because Cancers may be too restraining for Gemini. Gemini and Libras make a good match because they have enough in common and enough differences to never get bored with each other. They also tend to feel safe in each other’s company. Gemini and Leos don’t match up well because one loves with the head while the other loves with the heart. The Taurus and the Pisces compare well because the Taurus can calm down the Pisces’ excitable nature. The Taurus and the Sagittarius don’t match up well because the Taurus is possessive while the Sagittarius hates to be controlled. Virgos do best with Scorpios because their personalities interest each other. However, the Virgo and the Aquarius match unfavorably because the Aquarius holds too many surprises for the Virgo. Aquarius and Sagittarius have similar temperaments and their love of being social makes them a good match. On the other hand, Aquarius and Scorpios are not good matches because Scorpios do not like unpredictability. Capricorns and Pisces are a good match because Capricorns give Pisces a sense of security. Capricorns and Gemini will be at odds unless the Gemini is willing to slow down and accommodate the calm Capricorn. Every sign has different degrees of compatibility with another sign and it’s possible to have a good relationship with a sign that’s directly opposite from another. It just takes a bit more work.
