 im diabetic and i've heard from a lot of people that if you get a tattoo it wont heal as well and you'll be left scared but then again i have several friends who are just like me with tattoo's and are perfectly fine!! im just curious and looking for a little more advice before i go and get one on my lower back!

This is a win or lose situation. I worked with diabetic people and when they get cut it takes for ever for them to heal and i have another patient where there bed spread needed to be on so tight cuz it could of rip open his skin. When you get a cut, do you heal easily or does it take awhile to heal? Its all about you and how your body is towards wounds. All people are different.

it sometimes takes awhile to heal but if i take care of it with hydro peroxide it heals a lot faster!

Do it..make it personal cause it'll be there forever a new part of you. My mom (age 56) went to davinci's and got pierced. so I believe its an expression of self.

I'm also Diabetic and I have 4 Tats and 2 piercings (not my ears or navel) and gauged ears. When thinking about getting Tats or Piercings you have to think whether or not you will want it on your body for the rest of your life. You might be able to take out a piercing but you will always have the scar. Because your a Diabetic you really have to go and talk to the tattoo artist and ask if the place that your planning on getting it is a place that bleeds a lot and how fast does that area heal. And then you got to think about how fast you heal and how long it takes you to stop bleed. Me I was fine with it all. But, everyone is different.

Listen as long as you as your diabetes is under control an the shop you get your tat done is clean , an you keep your tattoo very clean you have nothing to worry about. ive tattooed many diabetic an never once had a problem

Your not supposed to get tatts if you have epilespsy, but my ex g/f did it w/o any problem.
And I'm getting a few in January.

this is a serious subject,but one thats not soo bad thogh.i have some and i did have a sugar problem for a while,however they do ask u if u have any medical issues and must sign a paper at the time.i have had no issues with mine and i still get them.u could tell them that u have no issues but that is so that they aren't responseable for any problems that should come up later.it's a chance u take.

Lower back is much more painful then other places. upper arm may be better more fat there. My lower back tatt hurt much more then even my sleeve.
