I met a cute girl at a party about a year ago. She was fun, drunk, and blonde. Perfect right? I'll call her.. .. fundrunkblonde. Fundrunkblonde and I started hanging out after having coffee together one morning, and we hit it off quite well. I'm not the type anymore to jump into relationships as perhaps I have in the past so rather than even making any moves on Fundrunkblonde, I kept finding reasons to merely hang out with her.
The day finally came when we were hanging out in her Volvo (Which always smelled just like crayons, it's the leather they use)When we first kissed. It was... Not very tasty.. She WAS a good kisser, which is a big plus for me, but that taste.. Just not good. Also, I hadn't gotten very close to Fundrunkblonde before this, and I noticed a bit of an odor.. I've had days where maybe I needed a bit more deoderant, so I shrugged it off hoping it was just that day. We kept hanging out, and the smell persisted. She stayed over for two days at my apartment one instance, and didn't shower all the while. I never had sex with Fundrunkblonde because I was petrified to see what I'd find down there. Fundrunkblonde is still my friend. I see her from time to time. She is currently dating a guy named Fatdrunkguy, who apparently doesn't mind the stench. It's rather unfortunate, but at least you can read about it here.

Part of maturing is being able to communicate your concerns without losing the friendship. She may have grown up in a very very poor situation where water wasn't wasted on bathing or personal hygiene.  If you were a good friend you would have talked to her about it and at least helped her with future relationships.
