I Asked this question in the relationship area earlier today and it really hasnt been as insightful as i think it would be to ask gamers so here it goes. I would love nothing more than to be with an honest cool gamer girl who enjoys similiar hobbies aswell as a great relationship with dinners and movies vacations ect. are they impossible to find or am i very unlucky? Ive done long distance before and it was great until we broke up when i went into the air force and was busy but now that im out i'd love nothing more than to find another one i can cherish.

Well I am a gamer and I have trouble finding my kind of gamer. Most "gamers" now-a-days only play COD. Yes it is a top selling FPS. But seriously. I'll play COD, Halo, or BF3. But you gotta be able to play League, AC, FF, KH, Tera, Borderlands, various RPGS, MMORPGS, FPS, Open-world. I'm such a major nerd/gamer and I'm specific on video games and I'm thinking every guy I ever dated was either hardcore gamer/no life and then I once dated a clueless "gamer" that only played COD. I mean I guess you just gotta keep looking and hope you'll end up lucky next time. You'll find some gamer girls but truth is most of them suck. Try playing World of Warcraft tons of "gamer" girls on their;P

Hate cause I'm always falling and rushing and dying. Love cause its badass and actually a hard game. Although I still not sure about the losing souls permanently if you die twice. I don't understand that significance.

I started on consoles and moved to PCs right about when CS came out. I did a little bit of screwing around in RTS, FPS and RPGs, and although every once in awhile I will break for TF2, L4D2 or COD, I trend towards MMORPGs.
Unfortunately I get bored after about a month and look for something new to get into, however when I'm really into a game, it is not uncommon for me to be on it for 6-10 months. Guild Wars 2 is currently that game for me, but that's more because time constraints with work and school haven't left me with much time to to give Black Ops and Assassin's Creed 3 a good run. They just sit here, untouched until I have hours of time free. xD

I kinda like the idea. With games now-a-days, gamers are pampered with respawns. Not only in FPS games and I personally think it degrades the "oh S***, Ima die!" feeling when playing. What's the point of success if it is hard to fail?!

Gamers (men and women) are no different than any other person,they have their own tastes,especially on here. Females have to deal with our mostly unwanted advances on a daily basis,so I can understand them ciphering through the trolls and the genuine.

lol, yep and yep.
Dealing with it in games is real easy, especially when you are playing with friends. Of course, 9 out of 10 of the gamer buddies a person will have is a dude. So all a girl has to do is hit on one of their friends who are quick to figuring out what's up and will play along.
I get harassed, I call out to my "husband" in game who is actually my best guy friend, we sweet talk and get a little dirty of whoever is harassing me doesn't get it, and once the problem is gone... "Thanks bro. Now what the hell was that about you wanting to _________ me _______________? Where's your wife, b*tch. I need to talk to her. You need to get laid like pronto."

I met my husband online 8 years ago. We both game. I was playing N64 when we met and he takes pride in the fact that he upgraded me to xbox. Lol. He introduced me to Halo and I've been gaming ever since! A gaming relationship is nice..now we settle arguments over a match of SSFIV. Haha.

I think every guy would like a gamer gal but theres a natural stigma to it that guys into games thats all they do and dont have a life. while thats true for some people the majority are gamers in thier free time and if you think about it its just a hobby like gardening or reading a book is to some. I wont go into the sports analogy that I have because I'd royally piss off a ton of athletes that know its true but hate the concept so they chose ignorance (end segway)
I have seen a slow trend of girls getting into sports and other previously "guy" centric activities so I think the number of girl gamers is on the rise as well but there is social pressure that keeps them in the closet so to speak. there are gamer dating sites such as gaming passions but that sites a little sparse.
the challenge is two fold, first to find a gamer gal in the first place, second to find one thats actually cute!

You have to find that balance.but yeah gaming is big and its changing the world graduating in a month with BA in game software applications, but i still game it up. Making a first person shooter using unity engine, maybe needing a few testers here soon. If any of you peeps want to game it up. Im on xbox live through out the weekends. My tag is XTREME ASSASS1N. I mostly FPS genre(black ops 2, gears 3, halo 4. Go big or go home.

I know this thread is pretty dated back but I just thought I'd have to relay my thoughts on the matter.
So deano there is still hope out there for that girl. Maybe not exactly to the T of same shared interests but close. So don't stop waiting. Good things come to those who wait.
A little knowledge after you find that girl. The girl to guy ratio is probably 1 girl to every 30-50 guys. That's just an opinion from me, don't know real stats. Now she definitely will not have "all" the same interests, so just remember there's a little word called compromising.
She says she wants to go see a chick flick or say book club, then invites you. With no hesitation, you do it. It shows that you care enough to feel emasculated amongst your fellow men.
FYI: I have a saying, There is no wrong or right individual in a relationship. Just equal rights.
