Now this is a very interesting question. Myself I am missing my number 9 tooth which is the front upper left tooth. Lost it due to damage from impact when I was a kid but the tooth lasted 30 years before it died and had to be removed. But I had a Branemark titanium implant to replace that missing tooth. So in a sense I have a missing tooth that is not missing and I look fine!!! So by technicality I would date a person with missing teeth that have been corrected through oral surgery/dentistry.

Since I have no top teeth this is a personal issue. But with the cost of dental care it's understandable why some are missing teeth.
