Putting the cart before the horse does not work.
Setting rules by telling a man that you're not interested in a fling when you're just getting to know each other is not wise. Laying a heavy about looking for a long term relationship ONLY is not constructive.
If he has made no attempt to even exchange (I use the word exchange carefully)
a romantic kiss, what is the point of warning him, rather scaring him off, by telling him that you don't want a fling. Guys assume most women want a long term relationship.
Of course he may think he's not interested in committments at this point, but that's now. Lots of men are looking for the right individual and then they're smart enough to appreciate what they have.
Why not just chill out until the issue comes up?
If you avoid the kisses, he'll figure it out pretty quickly.
Why not set your own boundaries and see what happens
or how you feel about things as they develop?
Does anyone see this differently?
