Bigger turbo (t3/t4), bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, stand alone programmer, etc, etc, etc. If I'm correct, on these cars you have to get beafier axles and and built tranny's (they don't hold up too well with hard launches and increased power.)

Honestly Quag, he has to pour a lot of cash into it just to get NEAR 400hp. This site breaks it down in stages. which means to hit the numbers he has to mix and match parts. And the stage 3 mopar turbo kit is 3599 bucks by itself. Because you don't run the stock intercooler, and engine cooling system. Everything needs beefed. Sure the block and internals can take 500hp. But the rest? not so much.

Im Pushing 290HP Right Now With Tuner And Intake System About To Run A Bigger Turbo And Injectors And Piping And Intercooler To Where I Will Push At Least 320HP And Then When My axles And Stage 3 Clutch And Cams Comes In I Will Run It Higher BC Im Getting A RebuiltTranny For cheap BC I Know Some People And Im Not Going Mopar It's Going To Be built For The Most Part.

This is what you should do. Save up your cash until the 2014 Camaro Z28 comes out in the fall. You give the Chevrolet dealership the money, they give you the keys to the car (which won't break down like a Neon will), and there is no building involved.
Simple plan. Besides, you will now have all summer to sell off the parts you foolishly threw at a disposable Neon.

Trey you just proved a point. You are doing HOW much just to gain another 30hp? And really the stock cams can hold and work well within the power range you want. Unless you plan to track and drag the car. Im not going to discourage you from doing what you want. I'm just being honest. The money even if you are cheap about it. Could be used on a different car and the numbers be astronomical.

Im Using It As A Drag CaR And It's Not Really 30HP I Was Must Guessing Using I dont Know Till I Do It. And I Can Spend About 5K And Build It To Close To What I Want AndEven Right Now I It's Still Drive Great And I Have Launched it But No Hard Launched.Until New CV Axles. I Was Hoping For Suggestions But Yall Are No Help BC I Don't Really Care For Cheap BC It's Better Built Than Bought. And I Have A 69 Nova That Me And My Dad Built Pushing Crank1000+HP To The crank. And I Use To Have A 2006 Ford Mustang Gt Build It Up To 1050+HP And 1100 Ft Lb To The Crank With 3 Different Set Of tires For It. I Just Wanted To Try And Build A TuneR.

no help? this is a general automotive forum. I've actually provided some insight to what MOST people would need to consider. And honestly you never mentioned the important things. What cost range you wanted. You gave a number for power. So no we wouldn't be of help. Its a dating site. Good luck either way with your project.

I'm always skeptical when people say they've built thousand horse cars and then go to a dating site automotive forum asking what they need to achieve power levels less than half of what they've already made on other cars.
I'm not a fan of suggesting people get an entirely different car, but in this case, it really is the best route. SRT4s were everywhere when they first came out. Now they're all but extinct. Reason? Terrible reliability and build quality.

If you fully built a motor from the ground up, for the most part, it really doesn't matter what kind of car or motor it is. It's just not going to be cheap. G/L w/ your build OP.

What Parts Should I Go With?
The dealer has three stages of performance for this model. You can always consult your local dealership for an upgrade with genuine factory parts, or head down to the tuner shop and discuss it will them.
When it comes to force induction there are so many factors to take into account it is nigh impossible to accurately decide which parts will give you the results. For example, you could go with a massive T3 turbo that gives you 450 BHP, yet it takes for ever to build the power and once you shift it will disappear.

For your app, consider porting (port matching, preferably), better cams with slightly more lift and a more duration toward the exhaust side, and a decent exhaust, tune, and intercooler upgrade prior to a turbo upgrade. Once this is done, you can determine which part of the powerband needs tweaking and you can purchase a turbo based on your preference.

Thats bs. I'm tuned to E85 with 888cc injectors, big front mount inner cooler, full 3" exhaust, intake and more and I had it professionally tuned and it's at 305hp.... 290 with your diablo and intake will add MAYBE 20hp tops.

U have to rebult our engaine or add better turbo better pistons heads cams and if u going over 400hp your trany will not support the stress and u can't smog the car u will not pass the Engaine. Emissions and i have to do a tuneup u need a better exhaust to keep the pressure and a e 85 tune up aleast.. i have a 2013 evolution x MR with 290 hp factory and the car now have 649 hp and i invest over 30 k on just the motor and. Trany man if u wanna do something do it rigth now im going to sell my car so i can buy the new mustang roush or the new super snake Shelby yeah street legal 600 hp plus roush 750 plus. And super snake mustang 850 hp +. Price tag starting at 68 k dollars xD   get new car is better.

And send ur ecu in and get a base tune

if you have to ask i doubt you van do it... lots of research...go to dsm tuners they have forums on this lol
