What's going on, Connecticut? In the month of August, there's been at least 3 murders at Connecticut nightclubs: 2 in Hartford and 1 in New Haven.
Too many thugs up in your clubs! Your clubs play hip hop, reggaeton, and ratchet music which produces the thuggish atmsophere in Connecticut clubs. That's why I prefer clubs that play reggae, soca, kompa, zouk, Azonto, cabo zouk, kizomba, kuduro, and Afro-House. No thuggery in those kinds of clubs!
Your Connecticut clubs don't play that good music from Jamaica, Trinidad, Haiti, Cape Verde, and Africa. Your clubs play a snippet of reggae but rely too much on rap, ratchet, and reggaeton....basically thug music!
Go in a Connecticut club and you're likely to get killed by a thug!

Connecticut nightclubs are dangerous places. The thugs have officially taken over. No more grown and sexy nights. The First Friday club events that were put together for sophisticated professionals in both the Hartford and New Haven areas haven't been happening since 2009. Very sad indeed. CT nightlife is now for the thugs and ratchet people.

Its like that whereever you go, clubs arent like they used to be. If you wanna nice club u got to spend the $ to be in a classy place. Murders take place in Hartford n New Haven all the time and not necessarily in a club shit you could be sitting in your car and get shot up

Such a narrow minded post by the OP.
The music has zero to do with the violence that happens in the clubs. The biggest factor is their location and the fact they are the most popular. Hartford and new haven are war zones these days and clubs are places where feuding individuals will come across each other. You spent a lot of time trashing a specific music genre and blistering your own personal music. Well what if someone does not like any of your listed types? Do they stay home because some dude on the Internet said you should not go to the hip hop clubs lol.
I really do not understand that trending topics in this forum as of lately mostly by a few individuals. Trashing,certain cities, cities in which they do not even live in and do not know any thing about what so ever. Then the trashing of women of color, calling the ghetto, gold digging, and ratchety. Now there is a post about a school in willimantic trashing the kids going there. What does this,person know about this school anything? Why single out that particular school? There is hundreds of schools in this state with serious issues.

I'm a college professor who studies and teaches about issues in society including education. Several employees of Windham Public Schools have been contacting me over the past 5 years about the issues in their schools. Most of the kids at Windham High School are good kids. The problem has been the increasing amount of troublemaker kids at that school over the past 5 years and how the school administration tries to "whitewash" the problem instead of actively dealing with it. Through my contacts at Windham Public Schools, I'm very aware of what's going on in that school district.
And it's not a racial thing either. Yes, Windham High School is predominantly Latino, but the mostly good kids are Puerto Rican, Mexican, white, and black.
It's not a racial thing. It's an a##hole thing. The kids who act like a##hole punks have been destroying Windham High School. These punk a## thug gangsta kids are Puerto Rican, Mexican, white, and black just like the good kids at Windham High School who want to learn.
Windham High School has some of the lowest CAPT scores in the state and that's because the troublemaker kids don't care and don't take the CAPT seriously. Plus, the troublemaker kids by being disruptive ruin the educational environment for those good kids who want to learn.

Hip hop and ratchet music has to be blamed for the violence. Hip hop used to be good. Now the music has become ratchet music is all about selling drugs, using drugs, promoting thuggishness, treating women badly, etc. Reggaeton does the same thing only it does so in the Spanish language.
Why is that the violence and killings happens at hip hop or reggaeton nightclubs, but violence and killings rarely happen at clubs that play Haitian kompa and zouk, Jamaican and Trinidadian reggae and soca, Cape Verdean and Angolan kizomba/cabo zouk and kuduro/Afro-House, or African music such as soukous and coupe de cale?
Hip hop clubs and reggaeton clubs are dangerous and you're risking your own life if you go into one.

I prefer the nightclubs of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
In Brockton, MA (right next to my old hometown of Randolph) there's Tamboo Lounge which is a Haitian restaurant and a nightclub. On Fridays, they have Classy Fridays where the DJs play
kompa, zouk, kizomba, reggae, and even a few African tunes (azonto, coupe de cale). It's a classy club with a strict dress code. It's been open since 2008 and there's NEVER any fights in there!
Providence, MA has Jovan's Nightclub which is the only black owned nightclub in New England. It's been open since 1990! That club is wonderful! I've been at Jovan's numerous times over the years for various events. That club is huge! It has 2 large dance floors on the top floor and 1 dance floor on the bottom floor. Music will depend on the night or event. Jovan's used to have it set up where the bottom floor was all Caribbean music and the top floor was hip hop, r and b, and reggae. Then they had it where the bottom floor was all African music and reggae. Now events vary. One weekend, they could have a Reggae/Soca music party. The next weekend, it might be a Cape Verdean or Haitian or African music party. So you have to call ahead to find out what's going on. Meditteraneo is on Providence's Federal Hill and is an Italian restaurant that has a nightclub on the 2nd floor. Over the years they've had all kinds of music formats: Latin, Cape Verdean, smooth R and B and old school, etc.
Also, Providence's Platforms Nightclub has Mature First Fridays every first Friday of the month. There's a strict dress code, age is 25 plus and the music is ALL old school whether it's hip hop, r and b, reggae, soul, or house! Only music from the 1970s up to 2007 is played there!
All those clubs I mentioned are safe nightclubs where you can dance, enjoy yourself, and not worry about getting shot or fights happening.
Van Dome is a fun Spanish club... But classy? Yeah, no.

West Hartford has a great nightlife of all types. Great restaurants, bars, lounges, hookah spots and clubs.
My favorites, House of Afghanistan (for hookah), SideBar, Barcelona, Bartaco, Cuvée and not so much Shish but if you're into techno and stuff like that Shish is a good club/lounge to be. Butterfly is awesome on the weekends if you like Karaoke.

Because the crowd of people that go there tend to be more cultural oriented, calm, cool & collected and/or are too old to be trying to run from the cops or bullets.
If you were truly looking for more class then you'd know to go to a Lounge, not a club 
Question, How many people are killed/ injured in Bar fights?? Are they "thugs" too or only if they're of hue?

Island Saturdays at the Fatt Squirrel Nightclub in Providence, Rhode Island, is the best place to go for reggae music in New England. The DJ only plays reggae, soca, and azonto (Afro-Tunes) up in the club. No ratchet blood clot hip hop!
