LAS VEGAS -- A former Family Court marshal, already accused of groping a woman in the courthouse, is now accused of groping two teenage girls.
Internal affairs sources tell the I-Team they would have uncovered the claims years ago, but they were stonewalled by court administrators.
In the 2011 internal affairs interview of Marshal Ron Fox, Fox himself claimed he was accused of previously groping people in court.
On Monday, the I-Team learned the inside story of how investigators may have found a witness willing to back up two teenage girls claiming Fox groped them.
The I-Team first reported on Ron Fox when video surfaced last year, showing Fox arresting Monica Contreras.
She claimed Fox sexually touched her during a search August 2011. Fox was fired after internal affairs validated Conteras' claims.
After the I-Team's reports last year, the judge and the supervisor who allegedly covered up the groping claims were taken off the job.
Plus, after the I-Team uncovered additional claims that a Family Court marshal choked a woman in court, a federal grand jury began questioning witnesses.
Fox, through his attorney, denies all the allegations and is suing for his job back.
However, internal affairs sources tell the I-Team that when they looked into separate claims that Fox groped two teenage girls before 2011, court administrators claimed to have lost the reports and prevented further questioning.
8 News NOW was told it took a sympathetic court administrator to dig into sealed juvenile court files last year and find a witness.
Sources add that a witness backed up the claim of the allegedly groped teens. A court spokesperson says they are fully cooperating with an FBI investigation into these abuse claims.
Court Executive Officer Steven Grierson released the following statement Monday afternoon:
"As internal affairs issues surfaced in 2010, it became apparent that it was necessary to hire an Internal Affairs investigator independent of the Security Division to ensure integrity and eliminate issues with factional rivalries, lack of integrity, and incompetence, within our marshal leadership at the time. Breaking the code of silence and confronting improper conduct in an organization takes time."
