You cant pick and choose what benefits are in a FWB relationship. Its not the men thsts making sex the focal point...its the women.The best kept secret is that women really want FWB situations. We (men&women) enjoy all the benefits but the common thing i see on alot womens pages is "im not with that fwb bullshit" translation: i can enjoy all the benefits of having a friend but im not giving up the pie. ....and this is just an observation...im not whining or crying nothing so dont come in here with that excuse to talk shit. Who labled it a fwb relationship? You or her, or both of you.
My impression of the fwb scenario is that there are rules both agree to when setting it up. If you agreed to no sex, then you are the one focused on sex, not her. Then, it would seem friendship and not fwb is on the table.
Though, even fwb contains more than just sex. If you want none of the friendship and only the sex, you are seeking a nsa relationship.

I don't think that's accurate. I think that statement stems from the fact that FWB has evolved in the perception of many into something that doesn't actually involve much (or any) friendship.
Men often say they're looking for a "friend with benefits" when they really mean that they're looking for a sex partner who will shut up and go home when she's not providing services.

When you're actually there for the person beyond the sexual aspect. You're there to lend an ear or helping hand when needed. You can't establish a fwb with someone you just met. You have to know the person and have a common ground as you would any other friendship.
