While growing up I really did not care for my mother's and fathers country - cry in your coffee or beer music -

I was always into alternative rock, pop - heavy metal even some disco - if it had a good beat for exercise purposes - but now with age I can't disco this or that and I can't afford to (break) - dance anything so now I just listen to music that is politically correct and up to date with the times - of which I have found even alternative rock, and heavy metal artists - has come up with a way to - pull at your heart strings, conscious, and make you want to cry in your coffee and beer..... boo hoo

Everyone needs someone - your not the only one!

Pop Evils song (torn to pieces) has answered one question that I've pondered over for many years - which was ("do men actually feel the same way women do when they lose a very loved, cherished even just strongly respected and admired individual from their life - I know that any man or crooner could have written that song - and the sincerity behind the lyrics could be just an attempt to make $$$$$ but I've felt the same way as the guy this song betrays - about losing much loved, admired, and respected interpersonal and intimate friends - that I know I'll never see again.)

Which has taught me a lesson - that I really have to be careful of who I trust enough to be captivated by - or hang onto every move or word they say - whom I anchor my heart, mind and soul too - because it may end up like another song - ('say something - I'm giving up on you.') - when the times comes that you 'must swallow your pride, and admit that you loved and respected them but they didn't feel the same way about you, and know that life will go on and on with or without these loved ones in your life - when you think of separation from a (living loved - of which you have to convince yourself that they died - because no matter how much you want them back in your life - it will never happen - and now must wait it out until your able to trust and love again - still because they could not love you - that does not mean you don't have to love and respect yourself.

Here's the song - (Torn to Pieces) - not everyone who finds their true love is lucky enough to have that true loves return that same love and you may experience anywhere from 2 to 2 dozen hit-and-misses, but no matter how many times we lose at love - it is a natural instinct - for most people to want, need and desire to be with someone they can trust enough to count on and turn to for their need to be loved and accepted - without this we tend to grow numb and (hollow.) - another song.

Torn to Pieces - Pop Evil

Here I'll sit all alone
Like an airplane
On the edge of a sky full of solid gray
Staring at the ceiling
Tell me that I'm dreaming
Oh, I wish you were here today
All these days I know I'll never get back
All the words that I always wish you would've said
All these dreams that we had,
Now fade to black
Try to wash it away

I'm torn to pieces
I'm broken down
I still see your face when you're not around
I sit here in misery wondering if I'll ever be half the man you wanted me to be

Here I'll float through the air like a waterfall
Then I sink to the bottom like a cannonball
Having trouble breathing, suddenly I'm screaming
"Why wasn't I good enough?!"

Even though I know you're not gonna come back, I can't wash it away
I'm torn to pieces
I'm broken down
I still see your face when you're not around
I sit here in misery, wondering if I'll ever be half the man you wanted me to be

I'm torn to pieces
I'm broken down,
I still see your face when you're not around
I sit here in misery, wondering if I'll ever be half the man you wanted me to be

It's tearing me to pieces, tearing me to pieces
It's tearing me to pieces, tearing me to pieces

Even though I know you're not coming back, I can't wash it away
I'm torn to pieces, I'm broken down.
I still see you're face when you're not around
I sit here in misery, wondering if I'll ever be half the man you wanted me to be

I'm torn to pieces.
I'm broken down (I'm torn to pieces)
I still see your face when you're not around (I'm torn to pieces)
I sit here in misery, wondering if I'll ever be half the man you wanted me to be.

What song that you recently heard that describes you life's situation, hits close to home, you think is politically correct or pulls at your heart strings. The Righteous Brothers - (Unchained melody - in the Movie Ghost always brings me to tears.) Is (this as good as it gets) every individual who ever lives will grow up into good, decent, full functioning members of society - just as long as society and social institution do not come along and trip is up - married, single, widowed, or divorced - do you know what it's like to live in a (world of human wreckage) - of which your discriminated against for your choice of entertainment - may it be music, movies, sports even politically or religiously correct beliefs of which we all are conditioned to belief- all things considered we are influenced by everything, every event and everyone.

BLESS THE CHILD

I was born amidst the purple waterfalls.
I was weak, yet not unblessed.
Dead to the world. Alive for the journey.
One night I dreamt a white rose withering,
a newborn drowning a lifetime loneliness.
I dreamt all my future. Relived my past.
I witnessed the beauty of the beast"

Where have all the feelings gone?
Why has all the laughter ceased?

Why am I loved only when I'm gone?
Gone back in time to bless the child
Think of me long enough to make a memory
Come bless the child one more time

How can I ever feel again?
Given the chance would I return?

I've never felt so alone in my life
As I drank from a cup which was counting my time
There's a poison drop in this cup of Man
To drink it is to follow the left hand path

"Where have all the feelings gone?
Why is the deadliest sin - to love as I loved you?
Now unblessed, homesick in time,
soon to be freed from care, from human pain.
My tale is the most bitter truth:
Time pays us but with earth & dust, and a dark, silent grave.
Remember, my child: Without innocence the cross is only iron,
hope is only an illusion & Ocean Soul's nothing but a name...

The Child bless thee & keep thee forever"

DEAD BOYS POEM

Born from silence, silence full of it
A perfect concert my best friend
So much to live for, so much to die for
If only my heart had a home

Sing what you can't say
Forget what you can't play
Hasten to drown into beautiful eyes
Walk within my poetry, this dying music
- My loveletter to nobody

Never sigh for better world
It's already composed, played and told
Every thought the music I write
Everything a wish for the night

Wrote for the eclipse, wrote for the virgin
Died for the beauty the one in the garden
Created a kingdom, reached for the wisdom
Failed in becoming a god

Never sigh...

"If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse, songmaker's cry the one without tears
For I've given this its strength and it has become my only strength.
Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality
where being wanted became a thrill I never knew
The sweet piano writing down my life"

"Teach me passion for I fear it's gone
Show me love, hold the lorn
So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me
I'm sorry
Time will tell (this bitter farewell)
I live no more to shame nor me nor you
And you... I wish I didn't feel for you anymore..."

A lonely soul
An ocean soul

Would? Lyrics - Alice In Chains
Review The Song (33)

Know me broken by my master,
Teach thee a child, love hereafter,

Into the flood again,
Same old trip it was back then,
So I made a big mistake,
Try to see it once my way.

Drifting body, its sole exertion.
Flying, not yet quite the notion.

Into the flood again,
Same old trip it was back then,
So I made a big mistake,
Try to see it once my way.

Into the flood again,
Same old trip it was back then,
So I made a big mistake,
Try to see it once my way.

Am I wrong?
Have I run too far to get home
Have I gone?
left you here alone

Am I wrong?
Have I run too far to get home, yeah
Have I gone?
left you here alone

If I would, could you?
