Are there any plans for a Ga Chat New Year's Eve party? If someone was planning on hosting one, we'd love to attend. If not, there's plenty of room to have one at my place if anyone would be interested. Any thoughts?

Ya'll are such fun company that I enjoy having you party monkeys over to the house! But I don't wanna step on anyone's toes if they were thinking of hosting one. Chris and Chelsea used to host one but they ain't here no mo. New Years eve falls on a Wednesday this year. And Danielsvilleburgopolis is off the path for a lot of my Ga Chat pals. I do have the 4 bedrooms upstairs for sleeping quarters. I'm just throwing ideas out there. I usually go into Athens and get a hotel room and close down as many bars as my liver can stand most New Years eves.

Angel of Bethlehem hosts GREAT Christmas dinner parties! Would that be a good division of Ga Chat resources? Our Christmas party at her house and the New Years at mine?

You should do a goose, with pine nuts and wild rice. Yummy.

Not that I don't like goat, but the goose will be easier to stuff. lol

Maybe one of out many hunters can provide the bird.

I may just be needing your help at the grill Kevlar. I'm thinking of doing shrimp and beef kebobs. No goats alas... Well. We'll see.

This party is still very much in the embrionic stage.

I say Peter's house. Because there's lots of room and I don't think anybody's going to be wanting to camp out in a tent because it will be cold.

I might try to camp, will it be too cold? I will need a practice run. Y'all know my goal by the end of next year is to teach myself to camp. I have been buying camping equipment.....but I did like having a nice bed at Peter's although the tent invites more possibitie........but that may be a bad thing too

Never to cold to camp. If you have the proper linen you'll be fine. If your not use to it though, it can be rough at times.

It's electric and it could be placed near the tent not in the tent. I don't know was just a thought.

Well if nothing else it can be kept on the porch. Oh and actually I have an electric blanket too I could bring.

We will as usual have a fire and if Eddie will man it since I will be busy it will be quite toasty.

On average, what is the normal temp during that time of year.

I may have my sleeping bag on the floor in the living room if I don't get there early enough to get a bed.
