My rule is they must send a pic with something that shows it is them for example holding a piece of paper with your name on it. You could have them webcam with you but of course some people take the wrong approach and show that rarely seen side of them if you know what I mean, just remind them it needs to be PG rated when they cam. You could also have them send video from their phone. I have video attached to my profile so it helps to prove I am in fact that person and look the same as the pics. The other part well some people will say they know what they want but really don't that you can't do much about. I wish you good luck in your search though

That is sometimes the case because they have been rejected, or ridiculed for being who they are in the past. It is hard to open yourself up like that on an online site because it is so impersonal, and also because you don't know who your REALLY opening yourself up to.

cajuneyes Mc Minnville, TN age: 48	As for looking like we say we do...maybe how a person sees themselves is a little diffrent from how others see them...no one wants to put a bad pic of themselves on here so we all put flattering pictures and on that particular day it really is how we look..I went and had coffee with a guy yesterday morning...I think he was a little disapointed but I warned him that I was dressed for a dirty day at work and I would not be dressed to impressed...he should have taken my warning to heart and waited until I really could have dressed to impress as the saying goes...we build up in our mind what the other person will look like and are often disapointed...as for me...I had just as soon not see a pic until we meet...that way I can get to know the person before hand and have no expectations about physical appearance. The flip side of this is...IF YOU say you are 51 and in great physical shape...dont show up and be 65 and need the assistance of a walking cane to get around... As for telling the truth about what they want..that I agree with...if they are just looking for sex...then say that is what they are looking for...at least you have to respect them for there honesty..that way both people know what is being offered and can make an informed decision....as for me...I really am looking for a friend and everything else will take care of itself.

techguy615 White House, TN age: 40	I think you are right there. Self perception can mean a lot. You may see yourself as unattractive, or have been made to feel that way by others. If that is the case, even if it isn't true you still feel like your some hideous troll. People deal with that self perception in a few different ways. Either they are overzealous and build their image up to be more than it actually is, or they wallow in their own self depreciating sorrow and make fun of themselves. So you either see someone who is rather stuck on themselves and have an attitude.You may also see someone that has a lot of potential, but thinks there is no use in trying. You might also see someone who tells jokes about themselves and runs themselves down at every turn to make people laugh. That is just a few scenarios, but people deal with that self perception in different ways. I just say life is to short, be who you are. Have fun, and hopefully you will find someone else that would like to have fun with you. Cheers!

The only difference that I could tell between their online persona and real life was that one appeared to have a much better sense of humor online than in person. These guys on here say in their profiles that they want a lasting relationship and to not hop in the bed with someone, then will somebody explain to me why these guys are constantly soliciting me (and im sure others) for sex? ive had to block alot of people on here, its ridiculus, i try to keep the mentality that not all men lie, but im seriously beginning to think they all do. im sorry just had to vent, ive been here quite a while and still gettin pervs.

Besides, my daddy told me something when I was a kid and it has served me well throughout my life: "If you are going to lie, you had better have a good memory". Boy how accurate that is! You never have to worry about remembering the truth, it's the truth and you don't have to even think about it. Lying however, LOL, let's see, I told person X this and person Y that, or was it the other way around? What did I say to her yesterday? you get the picture. Personally, I already suffer from CRS (ask if you don't know what that is), so there is no way I can take a chance on fabrication. Also, not everyone always appreciates the truth. You may not like what you hear, and you can't have it both ways. It's the people that always tell you what you want to hear that I don't trust. I mean really, so many guys and girls (not all) pretend to be just what you want them to be, say all the right things, act so wonderful. What a bunch of crap! Gee girls, what do you think they're after? where do you think you'll be after they get what they want? Gimme a friggin' break! It's like a guy that wears a belt and suspenders. Can you trust him? Hell, he doesn't even trust his own pants . . . = )

Seems like I have heard that in a given conversation men and women will tell a "white lie" at some point. Lieing is not anything that most people aspire too, at least I hope not. I try to remain truthful, especially when it come to important things that I think or feel. I'm kinda like someone else that I have CRS and it comes back to haunt me if I tell a lie! jphillips1963 Shelbyville, TN age: 47	If you think you have a tough time with finding man that tells the truth you should try finding a woman in a mans shoes. let me tell ya hwen they say avg in the weight section i didn't know it was an avg of all women tallied into one I always thought avg was just what it is per a medical chart you are within your weight range for your height not a size 14-16 and be 5'5" or in that range tall. Then you have a few extra lbs... again this should be 5-10 lbs 15 would be strectching it but depending on height and bone structure, not the 30-50 lbs they are packing when you do meet. So women are just as bad maybe worse than the men are but again I'm not seeking a guy so I couldn't tell you how bad they misrepresent themselves but most women I have spoken with are pros at mis reresenting themselves. I made a commitment to myself after being in a relationship with a compulsive liar to never complicate matters with any sort of lie no matter how trivial. I don't even lie to my mother anymore...which sometimes has it's consequences (ie her crying). As for looking like I say I do...well I don't say what I look like, but I do believe I have more than a few pictures on here. These were taken in front of my mother's 'prayer garden', and in another week I'll have a new batch. They are actually taken for the purpose of my bodybuilding endeavors, which are a hobby of mine and I like to maintain progress pictures bi or tri weekly. So I think that sums up what you were talking about for the most part. Oh right...what we are looking for. I'm here out of sheer boredom and lack of interest in the club/bar scene I have spent the past 7 years wholeheartedly and enthusiastically being a part of. I seem to meet the same woman over and over there (not literally you understand, but they sure do seem alot alike to me). So I personally am looking for friendship from some, and aside from that I could care less. I've always been oversexed as it is, so I'm taking a break while I concentrate on my cerebral development and just sit back and wait on something to develop in other areas.
