I dated a guy over 3 yrs ago and we dated for a little over a yr. Now he has started calling me asking me out again. There is no way in H*ll I will go out with him again. He hated my kids and hated me spending time with them. I have told him to quit calling and stalking me as I would never date him again after what he put me through the last time.
(yep he shows up at my job and harasses me we now have a code for when he enters the store) I guess next step is pressing charges.

YUP!!!!
Run don't walk to the police station, and file aggravated harrassment complaints on him, in both your home and work precints!!!!
Trust me, at least this way, when he shows up, you can have him arrested, and it will be on record that he is stalking you.

Also, make sure you don't take calls, or acknowledge him in any way. Don't try to explain anything - he doesn't care about hearing that. Even if things you say to him are negative, at least he is getting your time/attention. That is like a double message then - I don't want to see you or talk to you but will if I have to.
I don't know how he harasses you at work, but if he is causing a problem for the store, they could probably have him banned, or charged with trespassing if he returns once banned.

How sad and how scary. Make sure you have good locks, be alert, keep your pets indoors. If you can move,
I would even consider that. Hopefully, he will give up and go away, but until you are sure, take no chances.
Do not answer his calls, ever. Tell your neighbors and co workers, even though you may be embarassed to do so.
They need to be on the alert for themselves as well as for you. Just be matter of fact about it, no need to go into
detail. Give them a photo. Get a dog if you don't have one and need one.

I clean in a grocery store at nite and told the workers to be on the look out for him when he shows up and what he has been doing. Police have been notified and they keep eye out on me when I'm at work they are only a block away and make sure when I get out of there in the early hrs there is no one around.
Can't move buying the house and have told neighbors including the state patrol that lives up the road from me.
My dog never liked him and actually hiked his leg and peed on him  good doggie should have paid attention to that detail lol.

I agree answering his calls gives him attention and possibly hope....get a restraining order taken out on him then he is legally not allowed to be within so many feet of you or call you and have any kind of contact with you whatsoever and if he does he will be arrested but without that he won't.

Wonder why he waited so long before he started on u again? I had a boy-friend
like that a long time ago and I put up with it for 10 yrs. and it was a mess.....
Now the laws are a lot better on stalkers but it's hard to catch them, Good Luck....

File a restraining order immediately. Do not take this lightly. You need to get things on record at your local police station, so when he breaks your door down, they will come and arrest him. I know someone now who's gone through all of this and so very much more. The husband is in jail now and heading for prison. It's the only peace she and her kids have had in at least five years!

Don't wait too long to make a decision about getting help. Think about your children without a mom *horrible stories about ex boyfriends neurotic behaviors*. Listen to these ladies.........they are pleading with you to take the next step, hon. Do it.

Some of these guys are bad. I still have one that follows me everytime he catch's site of me, even when I was standing next to my bf at the time... 3 ft away from me until I saw him then he disappears.That's after 1 1/2 year. Luckily he never met my kids.
