Penny, I am sure there are a lot of us out there, and I was fortunate enough to have 3 good relationships in my life, but am now alone and feeling lonely, frustrated, no one out there seems very interested so far. I am not abar hopper, don't attend church regularly, I work, take care of my elderly uncle after work and on weekends, have at least one of my grandchildren once or twice a week, and stay broke 99% of the time!! That doesn't leave much chance for going out and finding a man!

Fit doesn't mean thin, it means that they can go the distance. Personally I prefer a little meat on a woman anywhere near my age. However weight becomes an issue when it is a health limitation. I'm sorry if that makes me shallow, but I want a woman that can keep up with me.....and trust me that isn't asking a whole lot.

Well I too have some extra weight and although I wasn't happy with myself I was content, but I had a change of heart when I was told about a conversation my recent ex had at work with some of his buddies. Like my ex his one friend only dated thick woman, and was ripped and cracked on by all the guys at wotk for it (I was never introduced to anyone and now I know why), but his explaination for only dating "fat" women was.... They will put up with anything and do anything you want to keep you happy and all you have to do in return is give em "a little", his reasoning was that they new getting men was a hard task the way they looked and they would endure anything and appreciate it just to not be alone. This changed me, after thinking back to when I became heavy until still today alot of things I have endured in my relationships now make sense to me. I do as all of you do have alot to offer a man or a woman just as we are, but the sad trueth is we get passed over alot because we aren't size 3's. I personally am tired of competeing. I now work out three times a day but am still thick, may never be thin or pretty, but I am a good person just like all of you, and we have alot to offer as we are, the men that pass us over are losers anyway who needs em.....

I am with you on the weight thing. I always see either a fat guy or a bald guy with beautiful girls - why is that. We ladies are not as shallow as these men are. Besides do they stop and think that their thin model may not have the personality or compassion that we have. Chubby is more normal than those girls under 100 lbs. and all attitude.

I just want to say that i prefer a girl with some meat on her bones.
And IMHO, the guys that are after those skinny girls are probably not worth you're time anyway. To me, they seem to just want to have a "trophy" to brag to their buddies about. But that's just a guess.
There's just something very sexy about a big girl that loves who she is, and carries herself well, not caring of the opinions of others.

I know that i am not a real chubby woman but i do have some meat on me but it is due to having 3 boys. I just want to find a nice guy that will appeciate me for who i am not what i look like. I do not mind if the guy is a little chubby also. it is more to love that is how i see it.

Ha, I loved this topic and some of the responses just cracked me up. I"m a over weight beautiful lady and I could care less what people think of me and MY big ass. Men love my a** and I get compliments on it all the time. I have one of the best personalities that I know. I have a great sense of humor,love to have fun, love camping, fishing, walking, hiking..etc, etc.
So, to all those idiots out there that think just because someone is not a size 5 does not make someone that is larger any less of a person. And in my personal opinion...I'd rather be my size and be ME, then be some snobby a** b*tch that thinks she is all that because her body is nice. I have been with men that say I have it all...including in the bedroom. Most girls that are stuck on their selves are out to please themselves and only themselves. They are so worried about breaking a nail or their hair getting messed up. My thought is...if you don't break a nail or two, and have totally messed up hair after having sex...well, your sex wasn't very good.
