CAMP RUNAMUCK UPDATE NEEDED:

July 17 - 20, 2009 at Riffe Lake. There are 4 campsites reserved (2 group sites incl)

As it stands (that I know of):

Dunitall and Peony: 1 tent and 1 boat
Lifetimeskier: 1 tent and some swimming tubes and Apples to Apples game
Bobsmith5000 and Sassy_Spirit: 2 tents, BBQ (maybe), small boombox
Windwhispers: 1 tent and firewood for entire group
Growingroses: 1 tent
Busybee59: Need to know how many tents girlie?
Curvsluvr: Need your confirmation and how many tents?
Migwelderguy: Need your confirmation and how many tents?

If you are not joining us for camping but would like to attend the potluck BBQ on Saturday please let me know. It starts at 2pm. For the BBQ please bring your own drinks and a dish to contribute. And of course...your own chairs. We will be playing games as well. (I am making a list of them as we speak)

Price for joining our camping site is:
$20 to be paid in advance to Dunitall for the campsite and $10 cover charge (per person) for the bands that will be playing on Fri and Sat. That charge will be paid directly to the Riffe Lake owners on the day you arrive for camping.

Some of our deposit money is also going towards food and refreshments and setting up the Tiki bar (do you have anything to contribute to the Tiki Bar?)...We will plan as we go...Last yr we did rib steaks for everyone...And of course we cant go camping without hot dogs and smores.

IF you bring a boat: To launch you actually have to go to Mossyrock park and launch(Fee of $5.00). The campground itself doesn't have a launch. There is a floating dock at the campground but there is NOT a boat launch. However, Tacoma Power Does provide three boat launches to Riffe Lake. At the Southwest end of the lake is the Mossyrock Park Boat Launch. If you plan to join on someone else's boat that they are bringing....ask permission first and please contribute to the gas bill for that boat. Please bring your own life vest also.

CAMP RUNAMUCK RULES:

1.) If you intend on coming camping you need to get a hold of Dunitall or Lifetimeskier to reserve a site with us. Its $20.00 to reserve and $20.00 at the door. That's to pay for the six live bands.

2.) You can drink anything you want, BUT keep in mind that some will be bringing their families(children). Please exercise some control and behavior when around any child at the campground. This is a family gathering and meant to be fun for all.

3.) Conduct unbecoming of the group,YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. Keep in mind this is a family camping trip and we need to exercise good common sense.

4.) If you decide that your coming for the day please let me know anyway, So that we may greet you.

5.) If you have a travel trailer or RV contact the camp ground directly for your space.

6. DH, Our Group, and Riffe Lake are not responsible for your actions and liability. Please take personal responsibility when acting and clean up after yourselves (I am not your mama.).

7. We prefer that you leave your animals at home as the campground will be bustling with major activity all weekend long.

These are all pretty basic rules to follow and this should be a really great party, Its our second one and not our last!

Am I missing anything?? We need to hear from you NOW...as this camping trip is less than three months away. Lets have some good clean fun.

Sounds good...I do need people to contact me if they want to come...The more the merrier...Pretty much what I am looking for at this point is a total tent count...
Windwispers is bringing all of the firewood...And didnt someone mention they could bring a bbq or 2...That would be very awesome...Some of us are going down Thursday and staying till Sunday...How many plan to come on Thursday???
And anyone wanting to give extra dollars up front can...I have now done $90 myself...$40 of that was to secure the 4th campsite...It would be great to plan out ahead of time what any extra money could go towards so everyone knows...Perhaps stock the tiki bar Or buy family packs of steak, hot dogs hamburgers buns ect...Just some ideas I am throwing out there...
Also lets get together with some ideas on Tiki bar construction...Perhaps we can talk it over at the Potluck in Centralia May 2nd...
Hey I am excited I have stocked myself up with appropriate fishing gear...Time is flying by...July will be here before we know it...

Camp Runamuck Fishing Derby Rules and Regulations:

1. All participants must provide a valid fishing license.

2. All who wish to be a participant in the fishing derby must register with Sassy_Spirit before the event. You cannot win if you do not register your name.

3. If you are fishing from a boat you must comply with the State of Washington Safe Boating Rules and Regulations. Wear your life vest.

4. There are no rules on how you can catch your fish, just as long as it is legal.

5. DH, Camp Runamuck, and Riffe Lake are not to be held responsible for loss or injury during the derby event. For that matter...during the ENTIRE camping trip.

6. Fish must be caught during the hours of the actual event and at Riffe Lake. Not before or after the event. This way it gives everyone a chance to participate in the event.

7. You catch and keep them....you clean them. I do not clean fish. But I do eat them if you cook them. (I am not a good cook when it comes to fish.)

Judged Entries:

Fish will be judged by those who are not an actual participant so that there will be fair judging. Prizes will be awarded accordingly to each entry as stated below:

1. Smallest Fish
2. Biggest Fish
3. Most Colorful Fish
4. Most creative way of catching a fish
5.
6.

**If you have ideas or want to donate any prizes for any events or this event during Camp Runamuck it would be greatly appreciated. I do have some crowns though for such events also.

I'm with you on the tan lines. I "thought" the official rule was if you were over 16 (or is it 18?), you don't have to wear it; just have to have a life vest or floating device for each person that is in the boat. Don't quote me on that, just thought I remember being told that

Well, I did say that you had to comply with the Washington State Rules and Regulations. And if that is a rule.....then it will be good to go. Just as long as everyone is legal. Don't want people getting ticketed for all of that while doing a fishing derby.

**Patty....thanks for showing those pics of my man again. Yummy!! The man...not the fish.

I know bringing our own tiki bar is gonna be fun, but last night as i left the potluck and though about a few people who maybe attending are planning on bringing there boats also. I though about bringing our own floating dock, I'd just build it and load it on my equipment trailer and launch it at Mossy Rock Park. It'd be nothing to build and haul but i dont have the foam blocks or plastic barrels to make it float. So i dont suppose anyone has any or know where to get them cheaply

OK Chanel but you will still owe the $20 fee...People are behind on paying or are forgetting all about it...So far I have given $90 out of my own pocket and it is just me only...Dunitall is in charge of collecting dollars...So far we are $40 in the hole just paying for the sites and that leaves no extra for other goodies...
I will need to check with Dunitall on how much has been collected and who still owes...I know he has a printout of it all...

Really I just want to have fun...Last yr Dunitall paid way too much that I know...He has a very giving heart...We tried to come up with a fair plan this time around...We thought it would work...Any suggestions or comments would be helpful...Is $20 too much??? In any event I am willing to make it the best campout ever...

I'll bring playing cards and a game or two. Don't know which ones yet. I could also bring a hockey box.

Oh and I think some of Dunitall's friends are coming, so that would be one or two more tents. I'll double check with him, though.

I realize there is a fee for coming to the camp out since I have been reading the threads. A better response would have been "great I hope you can make it" not a reminder about the amount I owe!
Let's show some love here....

Ok I could have done better with my response very true and I am sorry...I keep putting out money...I just wanted to have fun...I kept putting out my own money because others were complaining about the cost...I just plain am giving up on any collection of moneys...I personally have put out $90 and collected zero...Oh well what can I say I have a big heart I guess...And if any of you are pissy about me attending I can just stay home...Whatever...

Boy sure sounds like a fun event coming up...I think I will probaly pass, I can't handle this much fun......

I don't blame Patty for being a bit pissy about the money she has put it, if you want to go the lake camping thing, then pay your fee and get over it......damn $20.00,,,,if that is a big issue, then perhaps those who think it is to much simple dont go. Last time I heard no one is twisting anyone arm to show....

For a bunch of adults...there is sure seems like a lot of children in here..

Who wants to contribute money to go towards the meat portion of the BBQ? Please give those donations to Dunitall.

Dunitall.....can you send Patty and me an updated list of who has paid so that we can help keep a running track for you?

Okay, put us down for three tents as Daniel has confirmed that friends of ours are indeed coming. This is going to be fun, even if there isn't indoor plumbing!

Already got ya covered girly....I just forgot their names....so I put them as "Daniels Friends" right under your name. I have them as having one tent and one boat.

And it will be fun.

Patty, you get that notion right out of your head!!! You are going and you are spear heading it, like you have always done. You did a fantastic job last year, You and Daniel!!
I will be more than happy to contribute matching funds if you let me know where to send it, or have Daniel stop by the house and I will give it to him. I want this event to be one that out does anything we have done as a group. It is going to be fun and exciting with the bunch that is going and if you don't want to pay the fee- by all means stay home and miss out, we can have just as much fun all by ourselves!! So people, if you want to have some fun and meet a great group of people get your 2 cents in and let us know you'll be there. Keep up the good work Patty!!!
BB

Patty you know i'm gonna help out so dont sweat it, this is only our Second campout and i've got a gut feeling its gonna be great, Now i'm gonna pay you for the two friends of mine that our coming so they dont have to(Since there bringing a brand new boat that well all be lucky enuff to enjoy. As a matter of fact I just came back from there house and just for the campout they purchased a new two person wake tube for...Oh i cant wait.

Just a note folks if you do have a personal life jacket that does fit you well i'd bring it. They do have typical U.S. Coast Guard life jackets(one size fit all), But there the ones that look like an orange flat sponge.

I'm trying to work on the Peony Custom(Amys boat) and would very much like it to christen it at the campout(wait till you see the color she picked out, your gonna love it), otherwise i'll bring my boat
