Judge..hotel rooms are 'spensive out this way...kind of a suburb of NYC with Rt. 80 being a clear shot out here. Was thinking more on the lines of some campground that has cabins, RV hook-ups and tent sites. Our agency is renting a few cabins for our clients on the western side of Allentown for a week in august and the cabins can fit 6-7 people (split the cost) and have kitchens and bathrooms. I know sleeping on the ground is not for me..especially with this bum knee. Stumpy was going to look into the rod and gun club that he belongs to but haven't heard back from him yet. Or renting a big firehall for an all day all night bash, but then again sleeping arrangements would be up to the individual chatters. If anyone has any ideas for NE Pa let me know.

What about Nockamixon State Park? They have cabins, and as PA residents we get a discounted rate. 2-3 bedrooms are available, and they have all the amenities (kitchen, toilet/shower room, electric, etc). It is about an hour south of Bangor, though....don't know if that's too far for you to want to host, shm. It's the closest state park I could find to the Allentown area. The rates are: Sleeps six, $90.57/night Sleeps 7-9, $113.21/night Those are the Fri-Sat rates in offpeak season (Sept. is offpeak). That's about $15 a night per person, not bad at all for cabins. The problem would be knowing EXACTLY how many were coming so that you didn't book too many cabins and get stuck paying more! Just a thought, hope it helps.
